Spoken like a true leader. I have been inspired by you even before we met face to face in Austin, a few years ago already. The message of Beardbrand is something that continues to ressonate with me and helps to keep me focused as I continue to grow even in my 60s. Thanks Eric.

What I appreciate most about you, Eric, is your poise. Even when you are "struggling" with business challenges or "venting" about a lawsuit (wtf), you talk about these things with vulnerability, humility, class, and focus. It's impressive and refreshing. Beardbrand has been integral in my present level of self-confidence, and the content literally spawned my son's career as a barber, as you know, so I will be over here fanboying until the very end, which I hope never comes in my lifetime. Stay the course, Brother.

Your message, passion, and experience you provide in your products is unmatched. Been growing my beard for the first time at the age of 39, its a fun journey learning what each product does and trial/error. Ive gotten a little too comfortable and lazy with my grooming during the last couple of year's, but beardbrand has gotten me back into taking pride in my self care again. Thank you eric, I'm just beginning to use all of your products at the moment, truly enjoying the journey.

I want you to know I love your videos. They’re what got me to grow a beard. I’m a grown man, but I never really asked my dad any advice because I never felt comfortable enough to ask him, so I found yall. And it’s been a ton of fun to have a channel to watch where I can find grooming tips and tricks for men and I don’t have to feel weird talking to people about questions I have.

Just started growing my first beard at 68 years old. One month in. Everything looks good but I’m challenged in the sideburn area. We will see. Started getting your Beardbrand product and I really like it. Great product and variety with the different scents. Your content is awesome also. I’m going back and reviewing you and Berzinsky, great stuff. Also like your philosophy on life, we might be brothers. Who’s your momma! Anyway keep up the fight.

Just offering a perspective from someone who used to watch a lot more a few years back, I used to love the weekly livestreams with Jack/Sylvester with the style consultations and general chit chat etc. I think having people who we can regularly connect with to support the rest of the channel would help. Great video, good to hear what's been going on. Sorry about the struggles that sucks. I know the products have had some ups and downs over the recent years but definitely getting back to where they have been. I've missed having the white line at Target but waiting a couple days to get it from Amazon is not a big deal for me at least. This is still the only product line I buy, I've tried some others but come back to Beardbrand and recommend it to others. I love the fragrances and the ingredients. Super stoked to hear your keeping on!

Hey Eric, thanks for the candid transparency and that the issues Beardbrand is facing are not new to a lot of businesses. I’ll admit I got lazy watching these videos without leaving a comment or even a thumbs up. Ya, we were testing "quality vs quantity" with episodes that took far more resources to produce, but we thought was higher quality. However, it seems they might not be resonating, and going with more frequent videos with less production might be the answer. Time will tell. We've got a few videos lined up.

I have enjoyed being in a couple of your videos and truly have depended on the barbers to develop my beard style over the years. I also do appreciate you sharing your struggles and successes with Beardbrand. You have great patience and resolve to work through the various difficulty over the past years. At the end of the day, you do have a great product, you have a sound core of helping men love themselves and dedicate themselves to self improvement. I have found your products to be top notch and have found myself continuously returning to their use. I am a dedicated Old Money user but have loved the specialty scents as well. Bold Fortune has worked its' way into my scent profile more recently. The alliance of men helping other men keeps me peeking in to check up on my bearded brothers. Chin up and keep on growing Eric. There's something odd about creating grooming videos where it seems like you're always growing or cutting your hair/beard for a video; rather than for something you want to do. Maybe it's a little of both, but there is something freeing about just being able to get the haircut and beard style you want, rather than one that you think will make good content. Maybe there's something in the middle where I can produce content for what I'm doing; even if it's not a big move.

My husband has his own business doing design, manufacturing, and installation of vinyl graphics and hand lettered gold leaf on emergency services vehicles in the Triad area of NC. Delay of supplies has been a serious issue for everyone in the lettering graphics business as well as a steep cost increase for all supplies. We're extremely thankful for understanding customers who are patient and wait for us to be able to serve them. Your business has amazing customers too. Keep moving forward.

Love the channel. One KZbin series that could really resonate with your audience is to do a ‘challenge’ series of finding ways to style patchier facial hair. Patchiness going beyond facial hair profiles that are thick and uniform in nature but doesn’t grow in full beneath the underlip. Talking patchiness that might showcase sparsity around the cheeks, wispier density, etc. Many gentlemen hear guys with (let’s be honest) full beards talking about their patches that 90% of men would never consider a patch. This could appeal to a very wide audience, including myself!

What causes someone to care about the people more than the profit? (Not withstanding the need to stay in business of course). I don’t know. Eric tell us ‘The why’ BB is different that way. Most companies care about the customer during the transaction phase and then you’re just data. Why is it different here? Stay vulnerable, be courageous and be authentic.

I use to be a financial advisor and there was a lot of pressure to look and dress a certain way. Over time, beards have certainly become more acceptable in environments where they were not once. We also do a lot of things that cost us money to try to help our customers, like include a free Book of Reminders in with orders. They do nothing to drive sales or get product awareness. At the end of the day, I want to have a business that helps customers, has a great team, and makes enough to put a roof over my head and food on my table. I'm not driven to buy material things; instead I seek freedom and independence. So if my costs are low, that's not as difficult to hit. Regardless, it's been a passion of mine for over a decade and something I want to continue to build and improve. It's been a lot of fun with many up's and down's.

I like the products and I know business is kinda struggling, but I would like if you made more affordable options. Like providing 1oz options. I would definitely use you guys more if I had that option.

We've had that for years, our white line. It was available in Target, but it's now available on Amazon. For the next month we're clearing out old packaging to make room for the new stuff. So it's incredibly priced right now.

@@EricBandholz I took advantage of the amazon pricing right now so thanks for mentioning that in the video. Is the new white line scent going to be available in the smaller sizes?
@EricBandholz

@@matthewavery927 Ya, we're doing 2oz containers for the Utility Oil, Styling Paste, and Utility Balm. Sea Salt Spray will stay in it's current size. But since the packaging is now plastic (vs glass) the price will stay about the same (as the normal price - not the clearance price).

All those struggles will make it less likely you‘re going to re-enter the European market again any time soon? I love your products but it is burdensome to get hold of them in Germany. Wishing you all the best to overcome the current issues fairly soon!

From the people who've smelled it, it's gotten rave reviews. I think it'll surpass Lumber Yard as our best performing White Line fragrance.

I recognize that you are ultimately a grooming company that sells beard and hair products, but you should consider expanding your horizons. I’m a 23yo M and when I look at my peers, many have no idea how to dress. You should try making more content on style. What outfits look good with certain beard/hair styles and what outfits to avoid wearing as an adult. Just a thought!

@EricBandholz To piggyback on the another post, maybe you should delve into the clean shave market. Although it may not be a good idea in our current market, perhaps you can start small with a shave soap with one of your signature scents. I recognize you want to stay true to the "beard" beginnings, but business is business. Every person cannot grow a beard for a number of reasons(personal and professional). If this is truly a " feel good about what you see in the mirror" concept, you should market to everyone(even the beard challenged). As you have stated, regardless of what you do someone will have a gripe. However, as a " male grooming company" , I think you can expand to market to our beard challenged brothers. Good luck.👍

Eric says that he helps men look their best, but he himself has ears that stick out and he often gets the sides of his head shaved, which accentuates his ears. He would look better with hair on the sides to cover his ears. But he makes himself look bad by shaving the sides of his head.

$40 for one product in this economy is entirely too expensive for most...I bought your products at Target, now I'll go to Marshall's, or to another manufacturer to purchase beard products.
