What I appreciate most about you, Eric, is your poise. Even when you are "struggling" with business challenges or "venting" about a lawsuit (wtf), you talk about these things with vulnerability, humility, class, and focus. It's impressive and refreshing. Beardbrand has been integral in my present level of self-confidence, and the content literally spawned my son's career as a barber, as you know, so I will be over here fanboying until the very end, which I hope never comes in my lifetime. Stay the course, Brother.

Your message, passion, and experience you provide in your products is unmatched. Been growing my beard for the first time at the age of 39, its a fun journey learning what each product does and trial/error. Ive gotten a little too comfortable and lazy with my grooming during the last couple of year's, but beardbrand has gotten me back into taking pride in my self care again. Thank you eric, I'm just beginning to use all of your products at the moment, truly enjoying the journey.

Great video, good to hear what's been going on. Sorry about the struggles that sucks. I know the products have had some ups and downs over the recent years but definitely getting back to where they have been. I've missed having the white line at Target but waiting a couple days to get it from Amazon is not a big deal for me at least. This is still the only product line I buy, I've tried some others but come back to Beardbrand and recommend it to others. I love the fragrances and the ingredients. Ya, we were testing "quality vs quantity" with episodes that took far more resources to produce, but we thought was higher quality. @EricBandholz4 ай бұрын
There's something odd about creating grooming videos where it seems like you're always growing or cutting your hair/beard for a video; rather than for something you want to do. Maybe it's a little of both, but there is something freeing about just being able to get the haircut and beard style you want, rather than one that you think will make good content. Maybe there's something in the middle where I can produce content for what I'm doing; even if it's not a big move.

Love the channel. One KZbin series that could really resonate with your audience is to do a ‘challenge’ series of finding ways to style patchier facial hair. Patchiness going beyond facial hair profiles that are thick and uniform in nature but doesn’t grow in full beneath the underlip. Talking patchiness that might showcase sparsity around the cheeks, wispier density, etc. Many gentlemen hear guys with (let’s be honest) full beards talking about their patches that 90% of men would never consider a patch. This could appeal to a very wide audience, including myself!

I have always found BB to be about the people after the product. And that surprised me. I found it different than what I was used to. What causes someone to care about the people more than the profit? (Not withstanding the need to stay in business of course). I don’t know. Eric tell us ‘The why’ BB is different that way. Most companies care about the customer during the transaction phase and then you’re just data. Why is it different here? Stay vulnerable, be courageous and be authentic.
@EricBandholz4 ай бұрын
Ya, I started this channel as a way for me to personally connect with other guys who were going through similar things. I use to be a financial advisor and there was a lot of pressure to look and dress a certain way. Over time, beards have certainly become more acceptable in environments where they were not once. We also do a lot of things that cost us money to try to help our customers, like include a free Book of Reminders in with orders. They do nothing to drive sales or get product awareness. At the end of the day, I want to have a business that helps customers, has a great team, and makes enough to put a roof over my head and food on my table. I'm not driven to buy material things; instead I seek freedom and independence. So if my costs are low, that's not as difficult to hit. Regardless, it's been a passion of mine for over a decade and something I want to continue to build and improve. It's been a lot of fun with many up's and down's.

I recognize that you are ultimately a grooming company that sells beard and hair products, but you should consider expanding your horizons. I’m a 23yo M and when I look at my peers, many have no idea how to dress. You should try making more content on style. What outfits look good with certain beard/hair styles and what outfits to avoid wearing as an adult. Just a thought!

Ya, that's what our newest series is trying to do. But more than that, we have a person on staff who will give you personalized advice for free. You just need to text STYLE to 512-879-3297.

@EricBandholz To piggyback on the another post, maybe you should delve into the clean shave market. Although it may not be a good idea in our current market, perhaps you can start small with a shave soap with one of your signature scents. I recognize you want to stay true to the "beard" beginnings, but business is business. Every person cannot grow a beard for a number of reasons(personal and professional). If this is truly a " feel good about what you see in the mirror" concept, you should market to everyone(even the beard challenged). As you have stated, regardless of what you do someone will have a gripe. However, as a " male grooming company" , I think you can expand to market to our beard challenged brothers. Good luck.👍

Eric says that he helps men look their best, but he himself has ears that stick out and he often gets the sides of his head shaved, which accentuates his ears. He would look better with hair on the sides to cover his ears. But he makes himself look bad by shaving the sides of his head.

$40 for one product in this economy is entirely too expensive for most...I bought your products at Target, now I'll go to Marshall's, or to another manufacturer to purchase beard products.

Why not get those same products that we sold at Target on Amazon? -Eric

First I've heard of the lawsuit. Didn't see the video about it. All I can say is wow! 😲🤯 Competitor hi-jinx, maybe?

Na, it's common in the ecommerce space. We were sued along with 50 other ecommerce businesses all at the same time by the same person.
