A big thumbs up for Ben. He is a great ambassador for Ipswich Town. I have to say there are some first-rate Championship vlogs nowadays on KZbin. Although I obviously want NCFC to get promoted, in some ways life will be poorer if we do. First, we will have to play attritional football in the hope of scraping a 0-0 draw against the likes of Tottenham or MU, and second, there won't be this community of fans desperately hoping to reach the promised land and therefore understanding each others' crazy dreams.

I would highly recommend the Blue Monday preview show, with Rich and Harry. I think it normally goes out on a Thursday/Friday each week. I'm a Norwich supporter, but watch because of Harry's brilliant analysis of Championship teams - you get a real insight of the opposition's strengths and weaknesses. This week is a must watch, as he will obviously be featuring Norwich City. It will be interesting to see what he says, especially after our complete performance at Elland Road.

Terrific stuff from both 👏 plenty of good points and a great listen all 'round. Echo the many comments about Ben's channel too, great bunch there and always worth a watch/listen (despite their allegiance, of course - no one's perfect!).

right Jack, when I come back to England it's pints on me for Benjamin Blue and TNC. You guys seem to get on well, but are equally knowledgeable and passionate for your respective clubs. Seeing the discipline of the Norwich team against Leeds on Saturday I can't see the pressure getting to them against Ipswich
@jeffwyatt5906 жыл бұрын
If (when)Ipswich go down to League 1, the big difference will be in the atmosphere inside the ground. When Norwich played in league 1, we were still getting 25,000 inside the ground. For teams coming to Carrow Road, it was like us going to Man City, or Arsenal - they were just hoping that they didn't get thumped! If Ipswich end up with 12/14,000 a match, in their 30,000 plus stadium, it won't feel anywhere near as daunting or intimidating to the opposition. They could end up like Coventry - big stadium - no atmosphere, and dropping down the leagues.

I would personally put Lambert behind Mike Walker (took us into Europe), Ken Brown (promotion and a trophy) and arguably Dave Stringer who put in place much of what Mike Walker did. Great times under Lambert of course.

Hurst and Lambert have now managed the same amount of games (14) and both got the same amount of points out of it (9) if Hurst had a transfer window to work with like Lambert did then it might have been a different story for him

Great craic lads. Feels strange saying this, but i think Norwich deserve to go up. I never liked Leeds, and the spygate business is dodgy as fek. You should probably be most worried about WBA and Sheff U. I would quite like to see Hull break into the top 6, as they play some nice attacking football. Still hope the Town put a spanner in the works Sunday. We need a miracle now/mass points deductions, but hey, you may also benefit from that.

So agree about the nasty atmosphere between Ipswich and Norwich. It's only a football match what's wrong with having a friendly atmosphere. I've supported Ipswich for 30 years and always want both teams to do well

In relation to Culverhouse, what has Lambert done since Karsa and Culverhouse went their separate ways? The answer is absolutely nothing. Lambert is still living off his Norwich success, which tells you all you need to know. The facts don't lie. Culverhouse has been superb at Kings Lynn. The only reason he's not at pro level is because his name was tarnished at Villa and no one will touch him.

re: Lambert - the point you are missing is not that he is Norwich's greatest ever manager - whether he is, or isn't is irrelevant - the more important point is that he wasted his talent. Had Vaughan's goal not been disallowed, he might well have gone on to have a Football Manager style, empire building, 10 season Premier League winning career.... ok maybe not.... but then equally go and watch the game against Crystal Palace when Fraser Forster made a string of incredible saves that secured promotion to the Championship. Yeah fine boo him... that worked out so well for Colchester fans. But with Lambert I come back to Football Manager because he had the chance to build something, and he did what everyone does in that game he jumped ship to a 'bigger' club, not noticing what in reality Villa fans are like. And Ipswich fans aren't much better....
@jeremyyoung13865 жыл бұрын
@Mark Tierney Yeah, and let's not forget that game against Villa when everyone knew he was going to Villa, and the Villa fans were singing songs about that fact. I just don't buy this current story, particularly the guff about Lambert being our #bestever manager... cos he ain't. He also has precisely bugger all to do with the current team or the current style of play... That this is even a subject is a sign of just how his career as gone nowhere since he left to play ersatz Ron Saunders at Villa.

That's bullshit pal. Sheffield United play exciting, passing and innovative football, and I'm a Norwich fan. Admittedly they played it long more than they usually do at Carrow Road but that was good tactics from Wilder, targeting our weak spot.
@darraghwalsh51596 жыл бұрын
Ya Sheffield United have been playing great attacking high intensity football this season and they change their tactics against us simply just because it works and we're weak at dealing with too many crosses in to the box

Apologies. No one likes a smart arse. Ha. No it was not but you have to look at job he was asked and the owner at the time. Doubt he wanted to field kids in the prem.
