It's vacation o'clock! Heartlake City Airport and Airplane ✈️ LEGO Friends build & review part 1

Are you arriving or departing? Got your passport and boarding pass? We'll be all ready to fly with the new Heartlake City Airport and plane. There's a taxi to get you to and from the airport and a BRAND NEW INFANT! Seriously, Emilia is the cutest thing ever and totally won't cry throughout the whole flight.
If you've just dropped by, I'm Ellie! Lego is an artistic medium and no matter your building expertise there is something here for everyone. Stick around and I'll build for you while I review new sets and create my own customs (MOCs). I tend to geek out about new pieces, get excited about learning new and interesting building techniques, giggle too much and just generally ramble. I'm easily distracted so things can get a bit hectic, but I'm sure you're down for that.

I can't believe it took LEGO this long to make a minidoll with a sunflower lanyard, but I'm glad Ryan exists now. I feel so seen in his character as I have a hidden disability like him. So thank you LEGO for including such a unique character in a set that gives them a real reason to be wearing the sunflower lanyard.💜💜

I'm so glad to see that there are finally passport and flight ticket printed pieces! The characters are simply awesome. Seeing Raj, I'm reminded of The Big Bang Theory (his shirt even matches his style). I can't wait for you to build the airport, it looks so modern. ~Wavey ;)

I just learned about the sunflower lanyard from this LEGO set, but it really means a lot that they included this detail. I’ve always feared airlines due to all the crowds and because I struggle with following directions, so learning that they actually have a system that can help is really incredible! I’ll have to look into getting one now.

Ellie, this airport is going to serve the entire city and I think this is a great set. I also hope there are some surprising play features in this set and hopefully you can expand it with new gates, concourses shops, and restaurants. You also need a good airline name other than that it’s an excellent build and also nice to see you going strong in the Lego community!

I watched your videos so long ago and followed along making LEGO sets. I came back today and your voice is just as bright as before. It really does bring a smile on my face. Seeing your LEGO collection made me do the same. The videos with your children’s LEGOS were really nice because my mom and I around the same age. I would show her because we also built together. I remember when you replied to my comment ages ago and how happy I was! Your nails are always so pretty. I’m wishing you the best for making my preteen years so enjoyable!!

It's different to many people, but to me when it comes to lego, your creative interpretation matters most. It's not really about lego telling you their stories, it's about your own story. So whatever you want to assume Ryan's disability is, it can be it.

Hey! I have Asperger's (which is probably why a 57 year old AFOL considers this channel their fave -- naw, it's cuz Ellie is the BEST!) and I use headphones to block out extraneous noise ALL THE TIME -- including vacuuming, lawn-mowing, and snowblowing). But your take is EXCELLENT and totally in keeping with Lego's spirit of creativity!👍

I love that they’re doing more all shapes all sizes all ages for the line. Not every adult woman has to have the female adult torso, nor does every adult man have to have the broad shouldered male torso. The recoloured friends hair pieces reminds me again of OG friends! But they really need to retire that ponytail piece

I love the new progressions that lego is making, especially in the friends sets, but as a girl who grew up on friends, i can’t get over how they replaced the original girls with a larger co-ed group when the line was essentially lego’s version of Barbie and “girls can do anything”. i love the new colors and styles of the sets, though, i just can’t get over that change even if its old 😢 also tbh that baby is kinda creepy 😂❤

...so is that new behbehbody piece compatible with a minifig head? Like, an adult minifig head? Because the port on that minibaby head looks bigger than the one on the baby minifig head. I ask because Hilarious. I have that pram piece - it slots into a clip on the SightSeeing Bus 60407. That broader shoulder torso piece being a bit more gender-neutral is a new thing, right? Raj...Wasn't there an Indian girl in the set with the furniture store? You pick the furniture for her new flat from the store build, and she has a Taj Mahal pic on the wall. Maybe he's coming over to see his beta. The taxi build is nice when complete. Shame it isn't in its own set. The sunflower lanyard image also appears in the Tudor Corner modular building. I would expect it to be available on Pick And Build sometime this year.
