That sense of "belonging", of the brotherhood that even your spouse of a few decades still does not fully understand nor will they. The sense of being alone in a crowd. You spoke of the transition from the military to the civilian version of life. I left out of the Army as a RI with 11+ years due to an injury and like Keyser Soze says: "And like that "POOF" you're gone." Thanks for your time and contributions, have a nice day. And oh yeah, by the way, don't hurt anybody. No transition, no de-brief, no security dump, zip nada. It is 31 years later and I have done contract work for DOD (Stateside), the obligatory LEO time, some OTR for alone time. It has been 40 years since I graduated Ranger School. It seems like yesterday. Now I'm 100%, medically retired all the way around. Stay focused, you have served your country and are still are in a way that helps the rest of us that are still having some trouble in getting back to the patrol base/MSS.

I watched this while I served in 3/7. Very cool story. I actually bought a 2/5 shirt just Bc of that video. I’ve always hated coffee my whole life I would always drink monsters or whatever energy drink we could afford. Until recently I saw this cool camouflage can it was iced coffee. Love it. I got out in 2008... went right back to Afghanistan as a contractor... but to be honest I still wake up every morning and put my uniform on the same way I did for 12 years... just now it's a suit and tie. The civilian world will never understand us, I still feel like something is missing, and that thing is the brotherhood. We are all happy for our brothers and sisters that were/are able to land at BRCC...
