Hey Matt!! You should hang a multi directional mic from the celling. Another option you could do is to make an in wall connection center. If you want to close the door you will still be able to run your cables into the room. Hope that helps.

If you wanna try hiding the gaps between the acoustic paneling maybe get some electrical tape/black tape to put on the wall in the gap to reduce the white/black contrast. I think that combined with the lighting it will help hide most of it from the camera

I hope you guys see this; I just really wanted to let you know about EC (elimination communication)! Honestly you'll get used to changing diapers but even though I wasn't perfect, EC really helped a lot in toliet training my kids before they were even 18m. I would go more in detail but don't want to go TMI with 'bodily functions'. Just something to look into :) (Also cloth diapers :P)

dear Amanda and Matt, I work at a daycare and have taken an infant "sleep safe" course. they recommend having nothing in the crib with the baby other than the mattress and a fitted sheet. Blankets and stuffed animals are actually suffocation hazards! :( as cute is the blanket is, I want you to be aware of the ABC's "alone, on their back, in their crib". I just want Luna to be as safe and happy as possible. :)

Baby poop and sick and such is really gross to start off with but you get used to it. Sort of desensitised I guess. I say this from experience, my parents are foster carers and they looked after a baby girl for the first nine months of her life before she was adopted. To start off with, changing nappies grossed me out but I got used to it and it stopped bothering me :)
