This looks a whole lot like my bag. Tip to others out there: get a backpack. I was used to carrying a messenger-style bag, one I could grab things out of easily on the fly, while on my feet, without having to set it down and unpack. After long enough, I regret that choice. Still love my messenger bag, just not for IT work.

If I could like this comment again I would. I had the same thing, sometimes it would spill all of my crap out in my car because I left it open and it would tip over lol but I loved being able to set it down and use it as a little table in a server room. It wasn’t much but better than the floor. I ended up with a back injury and my doc told me to switch to a back pack.

Nice video. I carry most of that. I have two network toner/testers, and I recently replaced my crimper tool with a feed through crimper (it snips the ends of the twisted pairs in a feed through RJ-45 connector so they are flush.) Instead of scissors I use a small wire snipper but also carry a box cutter. I have a coax compression tool for fitting coax cables and my screwdriver is actually a whole kit from ifixit. Has everything I would ever run into on a computer. I also carry RJ-45, RJ-11, and coax ends for making custom length wires. And command strips!!! Love those things for popping up a pesky power strip out of the way. And a Tack Life drill. Sharpie markers, pencils... I have so many tools now that I think about it...

You're the second person that has mentioned that ifixit kit, I need to pick one up. I had a cheap-o version of that but the case fell apart and I lost all of the bits lol. Those EZ ends are nice, i've seen vendors use those and they're A LOT easier forsure. You're giving me an excuse to go shopping haha Thanks for the comment! It's my first ever

I also agree with the ifixit kit. I use mine all the time. With every manufacturer under the sun using different hardware, it's nice to just have what you need.

I just ordered it on amazon lol $25, it's worth that knife to pop open laptops alone. I've cracked way too many back plates as is haha

Klein has been a great company to buy tools from. I lost a screwdriver bit on the job and they sent me another one for free! I didn't even ask them to do that.

I’ll need to keep that in mind haha. I like Klein and they’re available at Home Depot too so when I’m traveling for work and can’t bring my tools I can pick up something of quality on the fly.
