This is (and probably will still be) my favorite episode ever! I wish it would have lasted another hour, at least. Every minute is gold. Vitamin E (Emunah). An amazing couple! BH. Appreciate how open they were of sharing their vulnerabilities to inspire others. Thank you Tzipora for bringing this groundbreaking change!! BH 🙏

Thank you so much Vivian! it’s really interesting. I experienced it as a puzzle. You only see the pieces and it takes time and a lot of effort to piece it all together. Rachel and I were watching this podcast of our own story with that sense of looking back at the completed puzzle.

As I left for work this morning. I noticed a new podcast from stories of hope. I was excited just to get to work so that I can get a listen to it. And boy I was right. It was exactly what I was expecting. N.B. life is full of challenges. And BH this wonderful couple were able to find each other. Remember never give up. Rabbi Akiva was 40. Or in our times Rabbi Tzvi Kushlevsky. At the age of 88 and a second marriage had his first child. May we keep on seeing Hashems awesome work of art.

Beautiful story I must say, there aren't many ppl like u two Both exceptional deep spiritual and kind I find today most men are self focused and have many women to choose from They prefer a woman who is younger prettier, easier as far as baggage and financially stable. A guy like Ozzie is a rare gem It is truly frustrating to date and be on the singles scene.shadchanim give preferential treatment and are quite judgy. It really takes a miracle to find someone authentic, attractive, stable and kind who wants to commit

Couldn’t relate to this more. This generation has lost the understanding of real value. Like good middot, family oriented and simple living.

While I liked this episode, it was a bit hard for me to hear about how the first wife was spoken about. I felt it was a little bit disrespectful to her memory.

I would want to know what he told himself to stay with a woman he couldn't have even loved that much with in seven days.. and stayed anyway. People get divorced for so much less... just curious what his mindset was?
@yitzchakenglard25143 ай бұрын
@@shay8183 I would think that he felt that this is what Hashem wanted for them. And he was probably hoping that they would overcome this together and then live the dream they were hoping for. N.B. I found that from a strong and healthy place. Most Men will try to do everything in their power to make things work out. As an example. Rabbi Rockmil ztl from Yeshiva Ohr Samayach. When he was sick tried everything to fight his illness. He was sick for maybe 30 days. And the second the doctors told him it was over. He put down his gloves and accepted that he lost the battle. And a few days later he left this world. Those few days he used to get closer to Hashem. Hashem usually gives each individual what he can handle. And if you listen closely you can Ozzie is a very special neshoma. Nope I was helpful for you.
@ozzieburnham19273 ай бұрын
The reason I stayed even though it was very challenging and was nothing like a “normal” marriage was because I had made a commitment to this woman to love and care for her. I felt that just because she became very sick, it was no justification for me to abandon her. If it was the other way around, I would be so deeply wounded that my wife did that to me, much as I would understand her predicament.

Rachel and 14 years.Something familiar? Yes.Yakov works for Rachel 14 years. There is another story about Rachel and years.Any guess? Yes, Rabbi Akiva goes to learn Torah for 12 years.And then after 12 years he hears the voice of his wife Rachel that would allow him to learn for another 12 years. Also Rachel waited. Rabbi Akiva is a gilgul of Yakov Avinu.Rachel is Rachel. (In the story with Yakov there was also Leya.Here there was also previous wife) And Rabbi Akiva was a widower before he married Rachel;) So maybe this couple has some connection to Rachel and Yakov Avinu and Rachel and Rabbi Akiva;) Or maybe not:)

Not "picky" but "particular"! I don't like the word picky, especially in the shidduch world.
@moishelek.27333 ай бұрын
Everything is beHashgaha Pratit-from Hashem. Shidduch is only from Hashem.Talk to him, do hishtadlus and grow in your bitachon.If shadchan didn't help,was not so nice he is just not Hashem's sheliach for your shidduch so go further to another shadchan.If last shidduch didn't work out -he or she is not your bashert -so you are one person near to your zivug.
