Update: In the video, i was wrong about Chameleon-nak, he comes in every color INCLUDING grey. Also, I was able to find the gorton's naknaks, you can see them here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6TOloWIZd-SjKMsi=y3C87ihkMx8hPrSk Additionally, we now have a few photos of the climbing wall playset that Verticalnak came in. You can also find these photos in my community posts. Again, thanks to Caleb aka theWWEfan2020 for his massive effort in preserving all of this.

I had like 4 of them but not from McDonalds but I got the fisherman guy from a Long John Silvers and I had 2 from the Great Clips and they were cheap as shit. They fell apart from not doing anything with them. They are garbage. They didn't stand up. They didn't hold up at all. They just fell apart. The quality was insanely garbage. They were considered the toy that even losers wouldn't play with. Every kid I ever knew that touched them had the same exact response which was this item is just plane garbage. A reason that they are extremely rare is because they were trash and like trash they were thrown away.
@jordancambridge41067 ай бұрын
Oh a huge issue with them and another reason they are rare is because their was a recall on them because turns out they were made from toxic chemicals and the parts that were potentially toxic was the glue that held the cheap paper pictures on, the paper itself had a nasty habit of being made of asbestos, and the plastic itself was recalled because it was mixed with toxic chemicals and made so cheaply that it would stink. They were garbage then and just because stuff is old and rare doesn't mean its worth anything nor is it a bright idea to collect garbage. If you collect these things then you are a hoarder not a collector there is a huge difference.

Like there’s this 2001-era toyline of robots made out of junk; I distinctly remember one with a translucent purple head that looked like a broken CRT monitor. And then there’s ones that I at least barely remember the name of; P-Brains, Morphmen, Bendos… Even a lot of toys based on TV shows are ill-documented; the YGO line is largely superseded by superior collector-aimed products but still had a lot of unique Duelist Kingdom rep and even a figure of a Duel Monster that STILL doesn’t have a real card.

There are so many collectible things like toys that are sold for so much more than these silly NakNaks and that are so much easier to forge than these. People pay tens of thousands of dollars for something that is just printed cardboard (eg trading cards). It would be much easier to distinguish something 3D printed from moulded plastic.

A friend of mine recently bought a sheoldred, the apocalypse MtG card for £120 and it's kind of a yes and no. For regular play whilst sleeved it looked the part the seller even sent 100 of the same sleeves it was in to finish his deck. Perfect, right? Wrong, it looked real but the second it left the sleeve it felt wrong. It had a different card stock and the likes and he immediately showed it around to get opinions on how real it was. In a sleeve you'd be hard pressed to spot the fake and the scam of "hey it's ready for you to build around" hadn't crossed anyone's mind up until then and honestly if he hadn't just needed another copy for his deck he probably wouldn't have taken it out of the sleeve it was in. So I guess the TL;DR is convincing fakes can be made but there's always that 1 thing that just feels off to someone who knows the products well. P.s. getting his money back is a bitch. It's been like a month and a half and unless it was refunded yesterday he still hasn't got it.

Wow, this is a memory I never though I’d think of again. In my grandmothers house, there was this big bag of toys, all of these were toys that my brother or cousin didn’t want and were then kept to my grandmothers so that I could play them. Years later did I realize that most of those toys were actually McDonald’s toys and one of them was the NakNak mummy. I think by the time I played them, these things weren’t even around anymore, it would have been 2007 at the earliest.

The first dollar tree I had ever been to was in my local mall across from the (also in the mall) movie theater and I always theorized they were getting some toys from the KB Toys that didn't sell well because you sometimes found really good toys in there. I remember these being one of them, I remember getting them whenever I saw new styles and series I undoubtedly have every one from the first couple series at least. We had so many of them I don't remember playing the game much the way it was meant to be played but making it like a challenge to stack them as high and interestingly as we could haha
