Wonderful hunt, the 1909 IHP is great. If it is an "s" mint mark with "VDB" initials on the back it would be worth quite a bit. Keep hunting!

Okay, the 08 and 09 IHP's are the only two years with a mint mark. Located on the back at the bottom center of the wreath. The ones with a mint mark are MUCH lower mintages and worth a considerable amount more! ps- LOVE the pillows!!!!!!

Look up the 1909 IHP I think there is something about that date and all. Park People do not understand we are not doing any harm as long as we respect the grounds and put the plug back in ..Well At least you did not let it ruin your hunt. Moved on and scored some goodies.. Happy Hunting . Peace

Glad it worked out for you, BUT, if I had checked city ordinances and there was NOTHING listed AGAINST metal detecting, AND there were NO signs prohibiting it, I (me personally) would've have politely explained that to the park employee. @@TexasPlugRiches Yes it was Memorial that i had the encounter. Never heard of Magnolia Park. Saw a picture dated June 2023 of the park. There was a green building with a sign that said, "Park closed. No entry". That may have been why y'all were asked to leave. GL HH!
