Hi good sir, amazing and wonderful as usual ! It sounds thunderous - I see the mix of an ebow and a hollow body is a killer one !

I need an EBow for my synths. Amazing sounding as always.

Great sound Bill. You always create a great mood. Just a quick question, if you have the time, when using an EBow, what type of pickup is best, - High output vs. medium or low? Humbucker/P90 or single coil. Thanks again for the music.

Did EBows get cheaper feeling recently? I had one years ago and just got a new. The new one felt like a toy. I remember my old one was called EBow Plus or something like that. The new one was just called EBow. They both had the 2 modes. Am I remembering my old one with rose colored glasses?

I currently have 3 EBows - one from 20 years ago, one from 10 and one from about 3 years ago. They are pretty identical in construction, feel and performance. They all have the 2 modes and all are called the EBow Plus (new units are also called EBow Plus). I did own an original unit with just the one mode and it was called EBow.

Has anyone used one of these on a bass?
@chordsoforion4 ай бұрын
I have used the EBow on a bass from time to time. It is tricky for sure, as the rails are too narrow for the typical 4 string bass. 6-string is not so bad, but the thicker strings are harder for the EBow to vibrate.

@@chordsoforion That makes sense about the string spacing. And I really never thought about the mass of a set Rotosounds RS66’s compared to some Ernie Ball Slinky’s! Thanks for your insight!
