what an epic view over those mountains Mickey, it is on my bucketlist to ride there one day 👊 Despite the cold you enjoyed it, the friendly thai people and the food 😋😋😋 Oh nooo... do not drink the local thai wine, i tried Changwat Loei red grape wines, 3 different types. They costs about 400 bath per bottle and taste realy bad, sour and bitter dry. I preffer Italian wine, over here in europe a good bottle will cost between 100 to 200 bath. Last time i bought in in Phuket restaurant a italian wine for 1500 bath and it was a bad one 🤔 i guess the import is the bottleneck if you know what i mean, just keep drinking the local Coffee and some local beers buddy. But keep eating the spicy isaan stuff 😉👊 Thanks for creating this series 🙏

The King and Queen chedis are the best attraction at Inthanon, along with the 7 huge waterfalls. The chedis are really the best place to see long range vistas, grab a bite, and if you are cold, they have a surprising stock of winter clothing. The gardens are outrageously beautiful year round. Doi Inthanon is the only place in Thailand that frost forms. Rich people from Bangkok will go to the park to photograph frost. It has never snowed in Thailand. In the first village on the way down, Food at Inthanon is inside the Queen's Royal Flower Project with swans and more flowers than I ever saw. If you just continue down the road below the Queen's project it will take you up to Mae Win, a very pleasant route with no traffic.

Brilliant Mickey I've been to some fairly high places in Thailand but that's definitely higher than I've been - you were up above the clouds there! ☺️ I've seen snow (well more like sleet i guess) in Thailand no one believes me when I say but I rode through it on a motorbike in the mountains. It used to snow up in the mountains in Malaysia too - Frasers hill is one of the high points there used to get frost and snow up there sometimes. Cool places you took us to on the ride - the old lady at the shop had cool traditional clothes. Very smart. Some really nice looking local produce there for sure. Pad Kapow Talay nice dish, it's one of my favourite go to foods in Thailand especially with chicken or pork and a fried egg nice in the morning for brekky too 😂 can't beat a Pad Kapow! I tried to replicate it in UK once but difficult without the correct Thai Basil it's different to anything you get here. Food looked spot on there set you up before the last 80km into Chang Mai. Big thumbs up from me in the UK 🇬🇧 👍

Hey Mickey, that's not the observatory. you've passed it on the way up the summit. it's not quite noticeable since it's hidden a bit far from the roadside. The same small road to access as the TOT telecomm tower location. The one you pointing at is only the RTAF radar base and military complex, hence why not allowed for entry.

Yeah i saw it on the way back on the right side. They have got something looking like sphere in the middle, that's why i thought it is also an observation building 🤔 Anyway a guy with rifle at the entrance is definitely a sign of a military object 😁

Did you know Pad Krapao is the national dish of Thai people, haha. I like to eat Pad Basil a lot. But the shocking thing is that you are a foreigner who can eat spicy food. Amazing !!
