There were five good results on referendums this cycle in California. Rejection of public bonds for "affordable housing and infrastructure." Rejected the elimination of forcing inmates to work on public works projects as part of their sentences. Rejected an increase to the state minimum wage. Rejection of rent control. Approved the tough-on-criminal proposition for longer sentences for quality of public life crimes. Take away the labels of "Democrat" and "Republican" and even in deep blue California the people get some things right.
