While I have my style of filming, I always enjoy (and somewhat envy 😉 ) the simple style of your videos. Quality video and audio that lets the trail come through on the screen. Fantastic upload, as usual!

I've been recently watching mtb video's like a whole new world. How come I've never even heard of shit like this. I've heard of mountain biking but they were just like walking path riding like some real lame shit then I see this and it's blowing my mind I've been binge watching these vids for at least two days.
@BCpov6 жыл бұрын
Haha, it's a relatively young sport, maybe 30-40 years old? This grown a ton in the last 10 years though!

See, this is the type of mountain biking I like to see no unnatural stuff like berms, big jumps or wall rides just regular plain mountain biking on a mountain with no artificial stuff
@DJAlGE113 жыл бұрын
Every trail on a mountain is artifical

how did you find the biking trail is it marked out there i cheked trail forks and cant find anything
@hobmarg7 жыл бұрын
Since you can shuttle, is the flatter top part doable on a DH bike? Thinking it would be nice to have a Fox 40, DHX2 coil and DH casing tires for the later part of this trail.
@BCpov7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it is. You might have to suffer though a couple up hills, but otherwise, you're good to go.
@hobmarg7 жыл бұрын
Cool. Won't get there this summer but maybe next year, will try to take both my bikes... my trail bike is more on the trail side of things, Pike/Deluxe trail shock, EXO casing tires etc. I think my hands would thank me for the big bike lol.

@BCpov6 жыл бұрын
I think the top might still have snow in may. But I think you should be able to do half laps.
@bobbyenglish78036 жыл бұрын
Most years you can't ride the top section until mid July - it takes that long for the snow to clear. You could probably ride the lower third towards the end of May.

What has been the biggest thing that helped you progress as a rider? I'd love to hear what you have to say!
@BCpov7 жыл бұрын
Interesting question.. but you know, I think it's been racing. Really pushes you to get fitter and stronger. Racing really gets you into the "zone". Once you get into the "zone" everything goes on instinct. You're at another level.
@SGMTB7 жыл бұрын
Very useful information, thanks a ton, man!
@PL-fh8cz6 жыл бұрын
I'll add to the reply.... I ride the Whister / Squamish area and what helped me most - anything I found intimidating, session it a few times. And to quote Bruce Wayne's dad, "The reason we fall is to get up and try again." Pretty soon, whatever was intimidating in the past becomes the new normal, and you progress onto bigger & more technical terrain. Not contradicting +BCPOV, racing is great for reaction time, strength & fitness

Hey Emmett, in mtb, loam is the soft organic layer that sits on the ground. It can be made up of moss or pine needles or anything organic. It's basically natural forest floor. Not hard pack.
