I knew a teenage Christian who had an abundant life. He was a member of the school band. He was a member of the church band. He exercised and played tennis. I'm glad he didn't live like a hermit. I happened to play tennis regularly too. One day we met. We played against each other regularly. One day has said he had to leave early for church band practice. I asked him about his faith. He explained it to me but I did not understand. A few weeks later he gave me the address of a preacher. I went to to his home and he explained the Gospel. I asked Jesus to save me from my sins. That night was the beginning of a new life. The next 5 years I led 24 people to the Lord, and they led many others to the lord! Please don't be a hermit. Go out into the world. Play tennis. Play golf. Enjoy life.

By the obedience of one many were made righteous-- It appears that Mr. Lawson has it by the obedience of two. Some VAIN men think they are keeping God when it is the other way around.

This isn't true. Steve Lawson understands that a regenerated person (someone who is born again) is a changed person. This born again person has a new nature and a new heart and is caused to walk in God's ways by God Himself. Being born again precedes faith. Yes we must surrender to Christ but we can't unless we are born again. Lawson understands that. Btw Jesus said that obedience is a proof of genuine faith see Matthew 7:21-22. So no matter how u slice it u must be obedient to some extent or u ain't a Christian

There are not many Shepherds I trust, and I need some guidance. Luke 14:33 and Matthew 6:33 both have my gut wrenched after someone I respect told me Luke 14:33 is very literal. They said that I must abandon everything and forsake everything just as Luke 14:33 says. Meaning I should go live in a tent and sell all of my possessions. While I do want to follow what Jesus says, I do not believe this is a literal translation for everyone. I'm a single mother with a child and I know that all things are possible with God, but I don't think He calls us to do what is not logical. Or maybe this is a radical movement that God wants? I can really use a shepherd's help on this. I am praying for God's guidance, but I also need to know if this word is supposed to be taken as a literal or metaphorical translation. I already told God I trust him when I was saved last year in March. I gave up a lot already and I am willing to give up whatever I need. I just don't I think God would want me and my child to go live in a tent without fellowship or anything like that. I'm already lacking Fellowship. I'm tired of lukewarm Christians Everywhere I Go. Please pray for me sir. I appreciate you so much. God bless you!

The child of grace had no say in their natural birth, and like wise they have no say in the new birth, which is 100% God's prerogative - and Jesus will not lose one of all the Father gave him. Mr. Lawson confuses DECIPELSHIP text that require obedience to the leading of the Holy Spirit - But Sonship required only the obedience of one - And that one is the Lord Jesus Christ.
