Sorry but is this not bullshit? Are you forgetting market cap? There are almost 20 million bitcoin in existence. If you think it will reach $1m per bitcoin that would be a $20 trillion market cap. US treasury has $480billion of gold. So it needs to sell all of the US gold in existence and borrow $19.5 trillion dollars from somewhere?!there is a theoretical figure of $80trillion for all the money in the world. A quarter of this is not going to turn into bitcoin.

Agree we are in uncharted territory but basic market cap logic still apply. There simply isn’t enough money in the world to reach these kind of figures. Or to put it another way inflation would need to be out of control and a can of coke would cost $1000. Either way if bitcoin hits $1mill the US and the rest of the world has a lot of bigger problems to worry about. I went to Zimbabwe earlier this year and my beer cost $1mill Zim.
