I'm so glad how people notice how clever of a player is Clevenot. He had his best game last night, He was able to put some magic on his soft attack plus his reception is unbelievable. he got 15pts next to Patry's 16. We witness the Olympics Ngapeth as well, and Patry, he's been on FIRE! Lavia has been outstanding this VNL except for last night, his A game was not there, he's been the target for France's services and FR got couple of aces on him. Bottolo and recine are also not on their elements, only michi is consistent on Italy's side.

Sans vouloir sous estimer les autres joueurs ,depuis que Brizard et Patry sont des titulaires indiscutables, l'équipe de France joue beaucoup mieux, ajouté à ceci le retour du génial Jenia et vous avez la combinaison parfaite.. maintenant il reste une finale à jouer et ça sera du 50/50 ..

Toniutti est un super passeur mais avec son 1m83 souvent il à été en difficulté au contre ( Brizard c'est 1m96 et pour moi plus complet que Benjamin)et les Tillie,Boyer aussi bons soient-ils me semble un bon cran en dessous de Jean Patry ( qui allie taille , puissance et vitesse) qui à explosé depuis les JO..Trevor Clevenot aussi à pris du galon ..et moi aussi je suis cette équipe depuis les Rouzier ,Le Roux ,Tillie etc...Cette équipe me semble arrivé à maturité par cette osmose sans faille mais bon pour autant je me répète ce n'est pas gagné d'avance demain ,il faudra bien jouer..

@@perelimpinpin Non mais c'est vrai que tu as raison, on a sans doute atteint le sommet de notre équipe nationale. Jean Patry est le nouveau Rouzier (en meilleur ? probablement). C'est vrai j'adore Boyer mais il est moins régulier que Patry (je voulais Boyer titu à la base). Et puis j'ai l'impression que mentalement c'est plus le même depuis son embrouille avec Verona etc.. Pour Tonuitti : pour moi il n'a rien à envier à Brizard en terme de qualité de passe/distribution, par contre c'est vrai que niveau block et service c'est un cran en dessous. Clevenot = incroyable. Pour moi il aurait dû être élu meilleur joueur des JO.

@@huquui8789 tu vois on est d'accord..les titres passés sont là et bien là et j'ai vu toutes les finales et souvent c'était tiré par les cheveux , poussif parfois avec des exploits de Erwin notamment..sur ce tournoi le danger vient de partout, Patry, Clevenot, Ngapeth, même Louati s'y est collé ..pour une défense c'est beaucoup plus difficile à lire, avant le contre adverse se concentrait davantage sur Ngapeth,ce n'est plus le cas aujourd'hui..

Yes, USA easily defeated France in Tokyo Olympics. USA was supposed to be in the quarter finals of the Olympics however since France has more sets won than the US, they went instead.

I watched this live on Volleyball World and although I was rooting for Italy, I kind of knew that France would take this match. France is already an immensely solid team while Italy is still developing. And the match exposed a key weakness in Italy- the Italians were kind of lacking a 'killer instinct," something that Juantorena (at his peak) brought to the Azurri when he was still active with the national team. It was just unfortunate that Juantorena's time coincided with "peak" Bruno Rezende and "peak" Wallace De Souza of Brazil. I'm sure De Giorgi will work on the team in the lead-up to the World Champs and get them really prepared.

They are quite young right? I think they will build this killer instinct throughout the competitions, since Italy is a very strong team they will be eager to show what they're capable of. Can't wait to see them play again! I'm rooting for France but I love Italy

The final will be exciting to watch. Looking at how USA beat Brazil and Poland, I can see they have chance to beat the Olympic champion. Aaron Russel, DeFalco, Jendryk with nice setup by Micah Christensen and also their blocks are nice things to watch for me. I like French team too. Brizard is smart as the setter, looking for chances to finish by himself.

@@volleyballworld Actually I want to see a rematch of USA vs Iran too, this time with Christensen in the squad. Still wonder why they lost to Iran 0-3 in early round, although it can be like that seeing how China surprisingly beat Brazil 3-0 in Brazil home court.

It pained me to watch this match as an Italian... Our team had too many mistake for what they are capable of, and you can't have a bad day against a team like France. Kudos to them for playing amazingly, at the end of the day the better team won. The final game is gonna be crazy good!
