I felt so bad for Itachi and Saskue and what they had to go through. Saskue is the reason I love this show. He is my favorite character and I don’t blame him for getting revenge I just feel so sad for him and his brother.

And this is why playing with ones emotions,and their mental state at such a young age no matter the reasons can cause more problems. Despite Itachi being as smart at such a young age this kind of decision shouldn't have been put on one so young. Inevitably the burden is also placed on his younger brother by his actions. People forget this,and blame Sasuke for his own mental state. Leading one down the path of revenge then expecting them to take a different or righteous path is not realistic. Especially if they trust you. Sasuke's trust in a way was betrayed by his brother just as Itachi's trust was betrayed by Danzo and the village elders.

In the novel Itachi put his lover in a genjustu (hope I spelled it right) where Itachi and her had a family and had a great life together before killing her. So in reality she was dead but she was visualizing the life she could of had with Itachi even after death

Itachi is the best written character in Naruto, imo. And people forget how young he was, only 14, when he got caught in the political web of Konoha and was manipulated into an impossible situation by the elders. I wish he had chosen to disobey the order he was given to kill his clan, he should have found another way, but still, a 14 yo, in an F'ed up world... But yeah, Madara's full meddling in Itachi's fate is yet to be revealed here.

If itachi didn’t do what he did, a war would have broke out in the hidden leaf and enemy nations would have seized the opportunity to invade the leaf and then allies of the leaf would have stepped in too and the hidden leaf would have been the battlegrounds for the 4th great ninja war, it would have ended up like the hidden rain, and sasuke being a weak helpless child would have definitely died

The mission for Itachi was eliminate the whole clan precisely because of what Sasuke is going thru right now, leaving other uchiha alive especially adults that knew the truth(his mom) would eventually make them seek revenge towards the village, so leaving a bunch of Uchiha kids around that could potentially learn the truth would make the whole point of killing the adults null, the civil war would just happen later, the problem here is the Leaf itself for being a bunch of racist lol

You should read the light novels about Itachi's life , there's information about his lover. According to Itachi Shinden: Book of Dark Night, Itachi uses Tsukuyomi on Izumi Uchiha, causing her to live through decades of a happy life in the span of a few moments. When she dies of old age within the illusion, her actual body dies as well.
