Itachi believes that he has lied to him and not been the best big brother to Sasuke, so he says “no matter what you do from here on, I will love you ALWAYS” thats his way of trying to atone to sasuke the life long burden he put on him..

Itachi has always lived a depressing and hard life. He was born a prodigy but that only caused more pain for him, being exploited by his clan and his village and in the end being hated by both. People might wish they were born with innate talent but all that it does is incur jealousy from others and makes you an introvert shying away from people in fear that they are trying to use you. There were only a handful of people close to itachi and all of them died. First is Shisui, his best friend.....Spoiler territory anime doesn't cover but i felt incline to write it. In the LN, Shisui stated that he would have to take the side of the clan if Itachi Betrayed them, itachi heart literally broke after hearing his BFF warned him of a impending death battle. Secondly was Izumi Uchiha. His "Girlfriend". He knew she loved him but never let her come close. He made the effort to avoid her entirely so that when the massacre happen both of them would not feel as much pain as they would have had otherwise. There was a playground scene, where Izumi buried her face into itachi chest wepting profusely, asking where he is going and why does he feel so distant. Itachi couldn't give her a reply then, which i feel he might had regretted. Take note they were 11 at this point, but she felt itachi was doing more than even an average adult should do. Fun fact, Fugaku, Itachi's Father actually wanted these two to be together. She was the only one to make itachi feel some sort of happiness and said "He may be a brute, but he's kind, please look after him" with the reply being "i know" with a smile. Out of all the relationships i wished they had developed this more, just on the surface level we can already pick out so many heartwrenching moments. What itachi must have felt to kill her, to reject her, to shatter her, to love her. He never found another romantic interest again, in memory of Izumi. Her death was truly tragic being placed under itachi genjutsu and envisioning her life with him and bearing his child. This death probably hit him the hardest. He made the effort to ensure she was the first one to pass on so that she doesn't have to feel regret or remorse from seeing others die by his hands and the emotion that comes after it. Itachi expanded colossal amount of chakra just for this one person, he knew there were other strong uchihas but he didn't care, he had to make sure she passed on peacefully and merrily after what he supposedly felt taking everything away from her. After all was said and done, he collapsed on the ground, he was just 13 and the actions he committed just started to catch up to him. There is no turning back now, his life had been set in stone, there was no more future for him and he focused everything to protect his village and his brother. If only there was a chance for izumi and itachi to have a life together. Both of them deserves happiness being able to break away from the shackles of the clan. Itachi would have some happiness he never received from his short 21 years and izumi would be together with the only person she has ever admired, love and cherished. I hope he knows that he's been forgiven and that they end up together up there.

Itachi said : "I lied to you trying to keep you in a distance with that hands" means that the pokes were a symbolism to keeping him away from the truth thats why he didnt poke him this time because he told him the truth and finally could hug his brother that he loved so much and tried to protect from everything

Itachi is always gonna be that Character that everyone kinda set a side. Especially when he chose to be on another path. Which will make everyone have a different view of him which is very interesting cause knowing from a young age he was already so skillful and smart with such a kind hearted kid who just love peace to the hidden leaf village and who he love is younger brother so much that he already made a path for him from the beginning. When his started his toughest mission. That's why for me Itachi is the goat when he was alive he saved the hidden leaf village then died came back and save it again. Just mind blowing. It shows that his Character is one of a kind. None compared to what he went through.the baggage he had to carry through the end. That's why I said is the 🐐🐐🐐

Itachi Uchiha , no matter you like him or hate him , he is an one of the best ( of not the best ) written side character in anime .... . He himself knew he did wrong . He killed . He is no hero at all . He himself doesn't consider himself as one . But can you imagine how many he saved that night by preventing a whole world war ? He destroyed himself and everything he loved for others . He is a sacrificer . The exact reason for his father to say " your pain compare to ours , is far greater " . Sasuke complained about the hidden leaf's people's happiness and laughter , but now after learning itachi's pov , he understands that itachi did it for that exact reason . Did you pay attention that itachi only smiled once before his death . That was the time when he trusted shisui's eye to naruto because he saw maybe he can do what itachi and shisui couldn't . Even in his final fight with kabuto , he gave him another chance of a better life cause he saw himself and his mistakes in kabuto ... . Really glad kishi brought him back to develope sasuke even more .... . 💯💯💯👍👍👍 nice reaction btw ... .

The music in this show doubles the emotional effect of these scenes. It’s just soooo good! I cried at this episode and I’m not ashamed to admit it. Edit: We’ve been told the true story of Itachi before, but it hits so much harder when you see it. Especially from his perspective.

Itachi has one of the hardest lives in the series, despite, or maybe because of, the fact that he's so talented. As Tobi explains, Itachi was callously used by both the Uchiha and the Leaf, exploiting the fact that Itachi was at the end of the day a pacifist. Even though Gaara and Naruto's personal stories were painful, Itachi went through a different kind of pain. Being a young child and seeing lots of people die, being and the desire to be so good at being shibobi that you can prevent all conflict. Having to personally kill your family at 13 years old. It's one thing if your family tries to kill you since young like Gaara. It's another to HAVE a family and then be forced to kill them. Itachi's send-off was perfect, but I do wish he was kept alive. He's easily the most interesting character in the series

Honestly the Uchiha had plenty of time to rethink their coup. But Hiruzen the Third Hokage never once tried to talk them out of their plan to betray the village. And as time passed, so did the tensions increase between the Uchiha and the village. The sad thing is that Danzo did not actually do much to cause the rift between them. Much of the village also believed that the Uchiha were behind the Nine Tails attack on Konoha, and Hiruzen heavily relied on Danzo to handle most of the problems with the Uchiha Hiruzen had always counted on Danzo on keeping the village stable, regardless of the circumstances and methods that Danzo utilized. Honestly while Danzo is to blame for nearly everyone's problems, Hiruzen is also responsible for LETTING Danzo run around with his methods

Uchiha wanted equal rights as the rest of the citizens in the Hidden Leaf. When the Nine Tail attack happened, an Uchiha could have stopped it, but Danzo (and Hiruzen) didn't let them go near it. As a result, Minato and Kushina died. Kushina was going to die anyway, but still. Hiruzen not only relied heavily upon Danzo, he agreed with him when it came to killing the Uchiha. In Itachi novels, Itachi could see through the lies and deception of both the men, but he was threatened that if he killed Danzo (or any of the higher ups of the Hidden Leaf), things wouldn't end well (i.e. Sasuke will be killed). After Shisui's death, Itachi was completely alone and broken. He hoped Hiruzen will talk to the Uchiha and he requested the Uchiha to change their mind. Neither of it happened. As a result, he had to kill them all. Hiruzen is the biggest culprit here.

He litteraly went rogue because of his hatred towards his brother. Back then, Sasuke was still kind and fairly calm, with his big brother explaining everything to him, he wouldn't have been so enraged and would never have anything to do with someone like Orochimaru. Because of this lie, he grew up with rage. With Itachi, he would have a chance to grow up with wisdom.

Tbh, he is hated because of his fans, not because of his character traits or actions. This Itachitard community has a tendency to exaggerate all the good sides of Itachi and ignore anything that could he be lacking. An example: They outright made up a fake interview with Masashi Kishimoto saying that he killed Itachi with a disease because he would have beaten Madara easily ... just to try and prove that Itachi was the most powerful, which is obviously not true. By exaggerating Itachi's qualities, they have pissed off all fans of Naruto and anime / manga in general, which means that many are fed up with this excellent character.

Madara just loves flexing thats like his hobby :D getting some more of Itachi being a legend that never gets old :) the backstory is great how even now they are giving you more and making you understand the whole thing :) the scene with his parents is the best you love to see it, finally we got it properly after all this time :) THE TRUTH! the final farewell to Sasuke thats such an iconic moment :)
