And about how ichigo friends survived when aizen invaded the world of the living, 1.He invaded a Fake karakura town with no humans in there. 2.reitsu is a energy which has it's range depending on the amount. None of his friends were close enough to Aizen to get evaporated. Even if some of them like Uryu Chad and orihime can't be killed like that. Uryu is a Quincy and both chad and orihime are Fullbringers

1- Genjutsu won't work on Byakuya bc he's soul. Even Inf Tsukuyomi didn't work on souls. 2- Byakuya is way way faster than Itachi, and has better speed feats. 3- Byakuya is a Kido Master, and thats way more versatile than anything that Itachi can do with Ninjutsus. You can even stop time with Kido. 4- Itachi doesn't have any resistance agains Soul Crush, and he can't even stand up near Byakuya. 5- Itachi can't see Byakuya 6- Yata Mirror is useless against Byakuya bc there's a teleportation Kido too. 7- Byakuya has way better AP and DC. Also, Reiatsu can basically work like an Armor, so he has way better Durability. 8- Soul Reapers won't die if they still have Life Force left. Life Force comes from Reiatsu, so Byakuya has way better endurance. 9- You need to use Soul-based attacks to actually hurt Byakuya. So, Itachi doesn't have any means to harm Byakuya. So, basically Shikai Byakuya is overkill bc Itachi can't see him nor breath near him.
