Looks to be a much more fun and relaxing ride with the sweepers vs yesterday with those intense and stressful hairpins.

Yeah a lot more relaxing - no need to worry (as much) about other traffic cutting the corner. The sweepers are a lot of fun in the dolomites 😎👍

I've been through several of these passes and enjoyed every moment. Even to include a "whiteout" at the top of one of the Dolomite passes. That's one I would not choose to repeat. too old to do it now but I cn do it vicariously via your travels. Well done!

Hi, it's great that you have ridden these roads too! And it makes us happy that you can relive the experience. Those whiteouts are never fun! -we've not experienced too many but we did one time on a mountain road that didn't really have barriers. Thanks for watching and always nice to hear from you 😊

Hi Sean & Emily. You guys recently had the k1600 on loan, do you prefer the GSA?, for what reason? I ask as i am interested in the k1600, i would have thought it would have been a more suitable for touring with pillion. Your thoughts would be appreciated.:-). Ride safe 🙏
@SeanandEmily
@SeanandEmily Жыл бұрын
Hi Joslin, yes we borrowed the K1600 for a few days. Personally we prefer the GS as it’s more suited to our travels. We often travel to places with poor road surfaces and some bumpy light off roading. Plus the GS carries all our camping gear etc etc. however if you are looking at riding good quality roads with a more sporty feel then perhaps the k1600 is a good choice -it is an incredibly smooth ride and with the pillion back box (we tested the GT model that doesn’t come with the pillion setup) it could be a great two up touring bike. Best bet is to go test them out so you can compare. Cheers 😎🙌🏻

@SeanandEmily 10 ай бұрын
Hi, great to hear from you and we are glad you enjoying the tours. As our route and timings our never set in stone we don't make a route to be imported into the navi. What we tend to do is to plot the points of interest on google maps (including the roads we want to ride) and then join the dots. Then we just pop in the waypoints as we go along so each morning we decide where we want to go as someday we get further than expected and other times not as far. The maps to our tours can be found on our website. Here is Heading North (we will complete the Blog at a later date) seanandemilytravels.com/the-heading-north-tour Thanks for watching Sean and Emily

Hi! It's so cool that we have people from Indonesia watching too -so thanks for letting us know! Indonesia looks like it has some amazing place to ride a motorcycle too so we look forwards to the day when ewe can visit! It can be hard finding motorcycle clothing that are designed for women but the @touratech suits we have are available for men and Women. We hope your wife finds some good protective clothing that feels good -also a lip up helmet is a good option to replace the open face helmet as sometimes an enclosed one can feel a bit claustrophobic at times for some people. Thanks for watching our channel and we hope you continue to enjoy our videos. Kind regards Sean and Emily

Excellent tour and video, thanks for sharing. Thanks to your Alps tours, I'm now planning for a tour myself next year. I've noticed you're using DJI MICs, but can you share your microphone setup inside your helmets for vlogging? Do you plug a lavaliere mic into the DJI MIC and then sync in post?

Thanks very much, really glad you have enjoyed them and found them useful for planning. Yes that's correct, only no need to sync afterwards as the DJI receiver connects to the GoPro. Hi from Australia, tour Touratech interview. Was fab, Love what you 2 do, your passion is captivating, you obviously love the BMW GSA, as you traded in an older one, Q to you, have you had any bike issues ? Are they reliable in general. With the complex amount of technology they have? Im looking for reliability. I am intrigued that most buyers of most brands have to upgrade the suspension on brand new motorcycles, is this required for the 1250 GSA as you have Emily and gear. Was looking at GSA or Africa Twin 1100 Adventure sports. Your vids are inspirational , best wishes Stephen
@SeanandEmily
@SeanandEmily Жыл бұрын
Hi Stephen, thanks for your comment and I’m glad you enjoyed the Touratech interview 😊. Yeah we’ve ridden the GSA for about 8 years now. Our older Gsa (the Air cooled R1200) has been but into retirement-we couldn’t bare to part with it do we kept it lol. We’ve had no issues with the R1200 other than replacing the clutch which it not bad for a 13 year old bike. The R1250 we picked up 3 months ago and have put 15,000 Km on it. We are currently heading to the Nordkapp and I must say the bike has been great with not 1 error message. I think people are quick to complain about issues or error messages but the majority that have no issues stay quiet. So speaking from our experience so far the bike has her. Great! As for the suspension, I think the Oem one is fine for the road and light off road use. But those that want to do more extreme off roading might need to upgrade it. We ride two up fully loaded with camping and cooking equipment on roads with many holes, gravel tracks and some light off roading snd hand had no issues with the stock suspension. I guess it’s designed as a do it all bike do if people have more specific uses in mind they might need a few upgrades. I hope that helps and you enjoy watching our videos. All the best Sean and Emily 😎🙌🏻
