Hello, just another left handed bolt action enjoyer

It was pretty reliable on November 22nd, 1963
@tlock46162 ай бұрын
I have one. Never had any issues with it other than it had a burr on the bolt that would cause jams. Took the bolt apart, filed the burr down, and now it's slick. Fairly accurate, I love it.

@@SoulElement How many shots before you need to clean the real gun, btw? Always wondered. In game you barely get 50 shots before it is trash
@SoulElement2 ай бұрын
@@Matt..SI do a clean after every second time I take it to the range. So about once every ~120 shots. I bet I could go for much longer but I enjoy the easy upkeep. In RDR2, I think diving around on the ground also worsens the condition.
@Matt..S2 ай бұрын
@@SoulElement It is pretty much a set stat, at least online. I think 50 kills are the max "allowed" per gun before it is maximum dirty. But 120 shots? You know, you could just go to a massage therapist if you want to treat your shoulder.

@@Matt..SI do maybe 60 shots a session. She gets pretty hot. Recoil is actually quite manageable even though it's coming from a small package.

To be fair: the en bloc clip stays in the rifle ~ 1 out of every 5 times. I've had better luck with steel than the brass versions. Have a great day 🙏

It runs so nicely because you shoot with the superior hand

Fascinating to see a left handed shooter use a bolt action, do you prefer using your cycling method or do you prefer left handed/ ambidextrous rifles?
@SoulElement2 ай бұрын
@@jaredfinlay1557 I swap between right and left handed with no real preference. I like this way of using the bolt when I go left handed. I initially copied the way Jackson used his in Saving Private Ryan and it felt natural ever since. For me, it's not ideal for holding a sight picture, but it's fun. To answer your other question: I'm not a huge fan of left handed rifles. Ambidextrous arms are pretty neat.

Why not use your other? Hand for operating the bolt because either way you’re losing your sight picture Is this just preference?

@@bushmaster22 right thumb was sprained. I switch between both left and right often. No real preference.

Ehh not really for me. I intermittently swap between both left and right. At the time of recording, I had recently sprained my right thumb so I swapped to lefty.
