Indian music in general and in concerts, mainly focuses on music not the glamour. Singers, specially Arijit...he is very simple and down to earth person. If you notice then you will understand, how there was minimum instrumentation when he was actually singing because they respect their craft and want to uphold the vocal part which is very important in Indian music. They work more on lyrics, melody and don't let the instruments take over.

To answer your question all are dressed simple because they are humble people and music matters not costume. i have seen some other singers in our subcontinent who come in a fancy costume but lack the magnetism and pull that Arijit and his musicians bring to the table in this performance. This is a favorite song of many and is soulful. The word Dua is very powerful, it means praying for welfare of another person in hindi and lyrics go like sending prayers for that other person or lover to Universe and Universe responding etc.
