Precious Italian greyhound!!! Wonderful expression in her eyes!! My dad grew up on a farm. They were really poor and had pigeons for food. They would climb up in the barn roof rafters to get the pigeons. He said they were very tasty! Poor man's chicken!! 😀😀😀 Great video, Doc!! Bridge

Dr Willen, Goose was all over the place, I don’t think her knee problem will slow her down anytime soon. She did tried to bite you several times but like you said Dr Doug, Goose though that you were a pigeon 😂 and didn’t mean to. Zoe was great 👍 with her, I hope her seizures gets better. Even though that she was quick, you’ve adjusted everything so perfectly 👌and as always explained everything so nicely so we could understand better. Thank you 🙏 for everything that you do, you keep always amaze me with the level of your knowledge, intelligence and sometimes even demonstrating for us to get a better idea. *Having patellar tracking disorder myself, I feel for this dog, as it is often painful!!! I had NO idea that dogs have knee caps too!!! I refuse to have mine surgically fixed and have chosen to live with it and try to do the exercises that always seem to stir up the bursitis in my hip!! This is what happens to your body when you get older, when you do gymnastics as a child and young adult!!* 🤫🤣

My chiropractor realigned my knee cap and did some tape. it helped but I needed more tape and I couldn't get it right. hope you can get some help.

Get a reputable Orthaped and have them looked at by them. I had a shredded knee. It took a lot to fix it and then to heal. The pain is gone and I can bend my knee. Good luck ❤🙏. JO JO

Dr. Willen, what can Goose do to strengthen the knee to prevent the cap from slipping? It seems to slip very easily, and pops back in very easily but my thought is that over time, would it create more problems down the road as far as arthritis or lameness in the leg eventually?

Hi Heidi difficult to say, actually the knee isn't a common site of injuries in greyhounds, but it can happened, greyhounds are bred to run (in the past hunt) they have strong muscles on their legs. I guess moderate exercise like walking and running could be a benefit. Jumping wouldn‘t be favorable.

We have pals that have a bad seizure dog and he has lived very successfully on low doses of seizure meds (phenobarbital?) for the last 5 years or so. "Miracle" is how they describe the drug he's on...
