This is a historical movie about Ottoman Empire from 1520 to 1566. Man is the most powerfull Sultan (President) of Ottoman (Sultan Suleyman). Woman is his wife (similar to Quenn) whose name is Hurrem. But her real name is Alexandra. She is from Ukraine. She came to Istanbul like a slave for the Sultan Suleyman. She step by step steal Suleyman's heart than became his wife and it turned to one of the biggest love in between them. Than of course she took advantage of this. This movie is not only drama. It teaches the history of Ottoman at 16th century which European historians calls Magnificent Century of Ottoman. It shows most important wars and politics etc.

These journeymen also served as ambassadors between the Harem and the sultan. They were chosen from among the most talented concubines, and were well educated in literature and music and the art of calligraphy. The journeymen also played the saz very well. Concubines are interested in art. would improve his abilities. Famous journeymen, whose bests are still played today, were Tarabsaz Kalfa, Dilhayat Kalfa, Gülfer Kalfa, Dürringar Kalfa and Menekşe Kalfa Harem poets. His compositions are being played.
