Finland paid taxes to Sweden as soldiers. 1 - 2 farmers had to support 1 Finnish soldier. 2 to 5 farmers from 2 soldiers. They owned a house and a hectare of land in the yard. At first it had to be a family member. But later it was changed so that it could be taken by an outsider. At the time of Greater Sweden, the officers were Swedes. Some of the soldiers were Finns. The best known in Finland is Johan August Sandels. 1,800 men fought against 11,000 Russians in Kuopio. After the armistice, the superiors decided that Sandels would retreat to Sweden peacefully.

To be honest, the only thing you got "wrong" on the name of the song was the pronunciation of I. Just before this clip started Joakim said, no one carries around a lighter anymore, but you all have phones right? So turn on your lights for this one. When the clip begins he said Totally wonderful my friends, let's now sing together, en livstid i krig (a lifetime of war). I was at this show (sitting somewhere in the middle of the platform to the left) and it truly was one hell of a show that night. They had sold out the arena so we were around 10 766 metalheads in the arena that night. This show was filmed at the arena Scandinavium in Gothenburg.

I know Sabaton translate the titel to A lifetime of war but a swedishtecher like me would rather say the real meaning is A liftime IN war. A lifetime of war is more En livstid AV krig. And it is what the english version also is about. The swedish version is En livstid i krig - a lifetime in war is more about the soldiers that was in the war not about the war itself. Just an reflection about the perspective of the lyrics and titel that you xan se even in the title.
