Grazie, I will consider subscribing in the very near future. Io amore Italiano. Possibly grammatically incorrect, but I tried anyway. I would love to go to Italy to visiy La Scala Milan, as I love Italian Opera.

I love languages especially German, Irish, Italian, Hebrew; both Biblical and Modern, Russian, French and Ukrainian sometimes, in addition to my First Language, English. No time for other Languages I can get too confused 😅

It is amazing how everything comes together after only 14 lessons. I was looking at the sentence with the restaurant and was able to understand what it means without explanation, maybe except the word stanco that I wasn't familiar with.

This is a breakthrough lesson for me. The "joining words" and the BLOCKS made a lot click...I just lost a lot fear just thinking of things that way!!! Today I received a book printed in 1944 by the Italian Press about Rudolph Valentino and I could really pick up chunks of it quite well and could pick out the structure. Even saw the word "EGLI" for "he" a lot!

Grazia mille per questa ‘short course’ Manu. We have been learning Italian for some time now and this has course is helping us to understand the language so much, reinforcing some of what we know already, but also giving us the foundation to advance so much better 👍🏼

This is the best course! It was actually the first one I choose because I was so drawn to it for one reason or another. After 4 weeks of learning I was able to translate the sentence at 7:54 BEFORE you did and I’ve only been learning for 4 weeks now. I started learning a little bit years ago but i didn’t get very far because life got in the way. What made me decide to learn was because I play piano 🎹 and a lot of terms are from Latin/Italian such a con forza, rubarto or dolce amongst others. I started again because there’s an Italian guy I’m really interested in and I really want to impress him by learning his beautiful language. Grazie Mille!!

Wow Manu. I made the mistake of buying subscriptions to multiple language apps, before getting my head around the basic structure of the language. The apps are not a complete waste of time with regards to vocabulary, but apart from that I believe I'm learning more or I should say, I am able to learn faster just by watching your short 30 day course. It is mind boggling. Thank you so much for giving freely of your time. I appreciate you.

Its funny, I've been told that Italian is even more complicated than English, but hearing you, Manu, say that it isn't actually makes it less complicated. I suppose when it comes to these things it is often the suggestion that it is complicated that makes it appear complex. Like weeding a garden and you think about how it will take forever to do. Immediately it feels overwhelming and tiresome. But if you look at it and go this will be great fun then there's an immediate change in stress. Same with language, if someone says its complex it will always make it appear worse when in fact we're just used to certain sounds and sentence flowing in a particular way that it appears foreign to us. Grazie mille lui!
@italymadeeasy2 ай бұрын
You’ve made such a great point! 😊 Language can definitely seem more daunting when it’s described as complicated. But just like with gardening, approaching it with a positive attitude can make all the difference. It’s amazing how shifting our perspective can turn what seems overwhelming into something enjoyable and rewarding. Thanks for sharing this insightful thought-language learning really is a journey, and a positive mindset can make it a lot more fun! 🌟🗣️✨

I've been doing one lecture every single day, along with vocabulary learning from some app from appstore, everyday..along with that I've made an Italian friend (actually he's the reason why I'm learning this language) we talk everyday in Italian and along with that in my free time I'm practicing immersion by watching Italian series, with English subs (il processo, guys it's the best) and I've watched the same series twice so I now remember the sentences..and trust me I've picked up so fast, only with this free series..when I was watching this video, I honestly couldn't make a perfect sentence but I knew exactly what those sentences meant without reading the translated part!!!!! 🎉sono molto felice!

I was watching videos on "Portale del Verde" and I thought I heard him say "quindici" and then I listened more and I thought I heard it again but it was not "quindici" but it was "quindi" and I've heard that in other Italian conversations so I looked it up. Apparently it is used a lot in conversation as well. So funny I thought he kept saying a number over and over and I wondered why that would be. ;-)

When do you use “la mia sorella” instead of “ mia sorella”?
@secretariatgirl42492 жыл бұрын
Good question...I've also just seen "la mia opinione" in the Word Reference dictionary...I don't know if it's just emphasis or something very tricky! I just found something on a forum that says "No definite article with singular family members...but .... An article is used with single family members when using diminutive terms such as my little sister - la mia sorellina or il mio fratellino. HOWEVER, there is a plural usage, if you have several sisters....If you have multiple sisters you may say 'le mie sorelle' to refer to them all." Of course, I haven't learned anything about possessives yet, if that's what we're talking about! So why I saw "la mia opnione" is another question!
