Even more interesting fact: Even though King Boris III of Bulgaria was an absolute monarch and politically aligned with the Axis powers, he maintained a stern resistance against fully cooperating with Nazi Germany. Not a single Bulgarian soldier was sent to fight on the Eastern Front under his command. He also refused to surrender any Jews born on Bulgarian soil to the German extermination camps in Poland. His decisions ensured that Bulgaria did not lose a single man to the war until 1944. Boris III’s defiance came at a high personal cost though. Shortly after returning from a meeting in Germany with Hitlеr himself in 1943, where he was last "advised" to support the Eastern Front and hand over Bulgarian Jews, Boris fell ill and died of a heart attack. Even though he had no history of heart problems, leading to the general consensus being that he was poisoned by the Germans. Despite his absolute power, King Boris III fought to maintain Bulgaria’s neutrality and protect his people, ultimately sacrificing his life for their safety. His courageous actions and unwavering dedication to his country make him a true national hero.

He prohibited Greeks from being doctors, lawyers, police officers and other significant jobs, and he replaced these people with bulgarians. Farmers had to give 90% of their products to Bulgaria. Greeks weren't allowed to buy any medicine and any other things. Food was given only by bulgarians. He tried to bulgarianize the Bulgarian occupied land by kicking Greeks out and replacing them with Bulgarians. If greeks were caught using their language, they were killed. More civilians were also killed during the occupation. Bulgaria deserved anything bad the USSR did to them.
@anyaon_5 ай бұрын
@@unknown12367 During the occupation of Greece in World War II, Bulgaria controlled parts of the country, but de facto jurisdiction was held by Germany. Most discriminatory laws enacted throughout Greece, including Bulgarian-occupied areas, were implemented by the German high command rather than approved by Tsar Boris III or Mussolini. This lack of authority is why Tsar Boris III could not protect Bulgarian Jews residing in Greek territories, as his influence was limited to military occupation. While there were one or two massacres of Greek villages carried out by Bulgarian forces, these actions occurred without the knowledge or permission of Tsar Boris III.

Bro... How!? How do you make such perfect videos so quickly? This is great work! But I think you need to somehow make a separate Pacific front in the future, where you show what was happening on the islands and control of not only the land, but also the Pacific Ocean. (+ Japanese nuclear flare-ups) It is also advisable to color China "Yellow", for example, to show that it was not a US-British ("blue") alliance (as well as the USSR - "red").
@_1942_5 ай бұрын
It is fine to mark China in blue on the map, as China declared war on Japan, Germany, and Italy in December 1941. Although China did not fight against Germany and Italy in Europe, it is undoubtedly an Allied power. The Soviet Union, while also an Allied power, is marked in red because it had signed a neutrality treaty with Japan and is a communist country.
@_1942_5 ай бұрын
I suggest changing Japan's color on the map to a light brown, because of the Japan-Soviet Neutrality Pact, which makes Japan a special country in its respective camp, just like the Soviet Union.

One notable exception is Brazil, who sent 15-25k men to Italy to fight in 1943, in the previous year, they also joined the war to give the allies access to their airfields and naval ports
@writtwoodson68792 ай бұрын
Brazil played a very important role because of geography. Thousands of airplanes that were built in the U.S. were ferried to North Africa through Brazil, Ascension Island and Roberts Field in Liberia. The planes did not have the range to fly across the open Atlantic. Putting them on ships was too risky/costly. The planes were keys to the capture of Sicily and the Anzio landing. The Brits let the U.S. build an airfield on the island. The airfield on Ascension was called Wideawake. It was worth 20 aircraft carriers.
