It’s very nice of you to resell instead of return. I had someone buy a doll from me, she said she wasn’t connecting with her and I tried to offer a large discount to avoid the whole return process but she demanded a full refund and return all because she didn’t connect with the doll. The box came back busted open and barely taped down, doll falling out of the box. The dolls hair was a matted mess and I had to fix everything and refold and package everything only to list her again. But! She did sell to a good home to someone that loves her dearly.

I think she honestly had buyer remorse, she was asking what my return policy was the second I left USPS and her tracking started to move. I told her I didn’t have one since no one has ever returned anything. I usually try to work out a fair deal to avoid full refunds and returns.

I feel like, as doll collectors, we should understand transactions are standard NO REFUNDS, usually. If it was the doll itself, I could see communicating with the seller and saying something about it. I did this before with my Charlie sculpt, remember? I just let that one go. I paid a fortune for that baby and she gave me $100 refund, but she didn't have to even do that. I could've resold him if I really felt I didn't want him, but that's not the case. I think he's beautiful. This baby has to do with ME and not the artist! I did leave her a 5 star review.... she did nothing wrong. I'm not connecting with this one. I feel like buyers should understand this better when they buy from artists. It comes with the territory. I did consider my Charlie damaged because I can't fix the head how I like it, but I"m also not going to drag it out because I could try to resell and get more for him, but I do like his painting. Thank you so much for your useful input!

You are a very nice artist/seller. Many sellers stand by the no refund policy. She was very lucky to be working with you, as I hear that many artist honor their policy. I have never wanted to return a baby. I feel bad about Aria, but keeping her wouldn't make me feel any better either.

I think that may be part of it. I remember selling my Aspen because she was a preemie and I felt like I didn't connect with her either. That could be a factor.

It's air dry paints and I usually don't go for those types of dolls. So, she should be matte with the air dry paints? I'm only familiar with heat set paints.
