This is OUTSTANDING. Why did you not buy this?! I don’t think if you got me up there, you’d ever get me back down. The land omg. Perfect for terraced, organic gardening. I’d rehab the barn into a massive kitchen with living quarters and move in. Need a chicken coop. Then decide what to do with the rest. Nice shirt. The seasons really are changing. Being the rural connoisseur that I am, I too see the potential of such an idyllic setting. Both far away and close enough at the same time. Certainly a property that could be done in stages. I can picture my arrival being greeted by the dogs and chickens and probably a few feral cats. Definitely room for all things a country gentleman would desire. A money pit? Undoubtedly, but that is part of the deal. You would know that going in. I agree with you, this property could develop into an incredible place. For the price of a single family residence in the bad part of town here(US), you can buy into a dream. Indeed, there will be blood,sweat and tears. It can be done. It has been done, and no doubt it will be done. In this area they write books about endeavors like these. ‘A Valley in Italy” comes to mind. Great video as always!

Spiral staircase, ooh Nick, the potential. The spiral staircase bulding looks like it could be made into a basic but funky little habitable space, sooner than the rest, have a nice balcony with a view (with work). Then more time could be spent beautifully restoring the other building. The barn would be a fabulous art studio, with very basic bathroom and solar panels. The view from the barn door is lovely. I think with $60 to $100 thousand , the barn would be beautiful. Of course I'd put a heated farm animal shelter at the end. Like goats or a cow for making cheese. !!. Great bones, if you were able to restore it sensitively it would be a wonderful contribution to posterity. I would love to be able to do that with sufficient funds. What a challenge. It’s not that easy to build your home on foreign soil! There’s permits and rules and regulations as to how big or where at your home will sit! Every country is different, from watching a lot of KZbinrs who bought chateaus in the French countryside, they receive no help from the government no grants no money or loans….they do all the building work and repairs themselves and those ancient homes cost fortunes in repair work! So as far as Italy, I think it would be easier to buy or rent because unless you have millions like Rachel Ray, building a home will take a lot of work money and resources plus the language barrier I don’t know how many Italians speak English! So you know owning the Under the Tuscan Sun lifestyle sounds appealing but it’s easier said than done!

I've only seen videos of actually USA residence purchases take a year. Unless your paying cash. These realtors have archtitects and builders in place for you to hire. It is possible to be living there in 2 yes. And so well worth it. It doesn't hurt to try.
