For me, Kilian's Black Phantom has got to be one of the best gourmands. Roja's Sweetie Aoud is also up there for me, being my all-time favourite scent.

Sweetie Aoud has a really great opening and I get a lot of the woods in the dry down. Very nice!!! One of Rojas best!!

This is back on Xerjoff's website and I'm really torn about getting it. The $300 price tag might come into play, too. 😄 Terrific review!

It's always annoying when you can't find things below retail, but this tends to be one of those fragrances. Its better if you can try it first to be sure. I paid retail, but I decided it was worth having for me D:

Great review! I'm very interested in comparing Simimi Reve de Sisa to this one. Also, using references to other fragrances is very useful in a review for those who can distinguish notes - for example the toffee note is just like in this or that perfume, the almond is like the one you smell in this or that fragrance etc...

Great review. In have genre parfums version of it because of you and im not disappointed at all with it. I know you said most cant master that strawberry not in the clones, thankfully i havent smelled the original🤣🤣

Well, Genre does a great job with Strawberry in Cajun Musk. Amazing strawberry note. I don't know why the opening seems so challenging to clone, but yes Virtuoso is good!

Italica is very new to me so too early for it to be my favourite. I think my favourite gourmand at the moment is Black Phantom. Just has bits of everything in it. I also like New Haarlem. Have you done a video of your top gourmands I would really like to see it as the is my favourite type of fragrances?🙂

Italica. Oajan is nice, I really like it. But Italica is creamy, milky, goodness :D

@@littlegiju I wasn't a big fan of Lira tbh, mostly the orange + chocolate was a bit much. It reminded me of those chocolate oranges people seem to buy around Christmas and I never liked those.

Xerjoff have just re-released Italica and I’m so close to blind buying it. Great review! How would you compare it to Lira? I’d love to see a comparison video. (I know they’re completely different notes but they are highly regarded gourmands from the same house). 🙂

Much better than Lira. But I think the orange put me off it a little, so I might be biased. It reminded me of those Chocolate Oranges people buy around Christmas.

Xerjoff Universe. It was temporarily available online much earlier in the year. I think around March or April. They have done this during COVID for a number of exclusives. I was happy to have grabbed one at that time. Not sure if they will do it again.

If you like gourmands, you will most likely enjoy this fragrance. I guess be aware it's a sweet, gourmand, powerhouse. Dry almond cookie with some strawberry in the opening, then dries down creamy toffee delicious! For me, safe blind buy, but it's expensive and best to try it first if you can.

Yeah, but with the exchange rate, $400 is pretty close to retail. It's pretty pesky to get a hold of, no doubt about that. Maybe if you take a vacation in London you will be able to buy it :D

@@slvrttzx I don't have a back up. The leaky bottle I got rid of. I decanted the whole thing out and fortunately made the money back from buying it and kept 2 9ml decants for myself. So I only have the one bottle now.

A few, but it's not my most complimented gourmand, I don't think. It's quite thick and sweet, so it can be too much for a lot of people. Myself, I have to be in a mood for it. Think I might wear it tonight :D
