Learn all about Ischia which is an island in Italy that belongs to the archipelago of the Flegrean islands , of the metropolitan city of Naples .
Located at the northern end of the Gulf of Naples and a short distance from the islands of Procida and Vivara , in the Tyrrhenian Sea , it is the largest of the Flegrean islands and an important destination for international tourism. With its 62 630 inhabitants it is the third Italian island by population and the eighth by surface.

Rhonda, I love it that you mentioned your grandma and grandpa at the end of your video. AND you made traveling there from the US so informative. I’ve always wanted to walk by where my grandparents were born in Forio. Although I visited there once before (20 years ago) with my mother, I had not started my genealogical journey yet so I didn’t have the addresses where each maternal grandparent was born - now that I have their addresses I feel like it’s calling my name.
