​​@@imitradisv thats just a choice of design. The OF-40 was created in a time where HEAT projectiles could counter any armor since there were no serious studies about neither composites nor ERA. The result was that some MBTs were designed to be mobile enough to evade ATGMs/HEAT grenades and position quickly while still being able to stop shrapnel, autocannons and generally light weapons fire. Also AMX-30s, Leopard 1s and Type-74s fall in this category.

one other thing to note about the of-40 is the amazing horizontal and vertical traverse speeds for the gun. that plus the mobility makes it an excellent cqc tank, and the optics make it good for sniping as well

The smoke is bugged. Sometimes when you launch a second salvo, while the first is still up and/or disappearing, the second smoke screen will disappear along the first one.

i would say the 1A5 is more suited to sniping. OF40 is built for close quarters with its 40deg/s turret traverse speed

Top tier maps should strictly be cold war era and above type settings, it's the timeline that matters to me, not necessarily the type of layout, for example advance the Rhine should never have top tier vehicles, it should really just stop at around 6.7 maybe 7.7

Top tier map? Pretty much none of them anymore. One of the reasons I don't play anymore. Flattened all the maps, constrained all the zones to point blank range, totally noobified.
