I am confused Sarah Beckett was red carded for a dangerous tackle yet when Abby Dow had her leg broken nothing happened. I am not sure if that was because it was friendly fire or none of the officials saw how it happened.

A player can suffer a broken leg or any other injury from lots of situations. It does not mean foul play is involved. It would be a very strange sort of refereeing that thought along the lines of, "She has a serious leg injury, therefore, a member of the opposition must be punished!" Despite all the safeguards rugby is still a very physical collision sport. The worst injury I suffered in my time was myself and a teammate tackling a ball carrier simultaneously, and as he went down I dived straight into my teammate.

I think the italians were playing with 16 including the ref still did not help. England played almost the whole match with 14.

Why anyone thinks a rugby loving crowd need to be "entertained"? by a raucous disco is beyond me - they have no place at a sporting event like this. Also I have lost patience with Harrison kicking possession away - it's as if she has no other ideas.

I think switching her and Mo Hunt's numbers was a good call, she does the job well but is just better at it for shorter periods than the full match...
