The Netherlands is mainly Curacao and other Dutch overseas territories. Italy is almost entirely Americans of Italian descent.

Team Cuba isn’t like it used to be anymore. I don’t think it will be like 2006 team anytime soon. Baseball in Cuba is going downhill. Also, there’s not secret that some good players won’t make the Team cause the Cuban Regime THINK they will abandon it once overseas. So, there might be better players sitting at home watching just because of that.

The WBC seems to be far more exciting than the MLB. There is obvious the lack of skills like we see in the big leagues (pitching/defense/power) but those small balls are definitely make it more exciting, like the traditional baseball.

They might have to requalify if they finish last place. That's insane when they're a top 10 ranked country and team in the world of Baaeball. Their lineup was not good at all and they're missing top players. Their previous Cuban teams were much better and more competitive.

@Orwell was right Yeah and I'm a Dominican 🇩🇴 who likes the Cuban leagues better than Dominican Winter Ball leagues. Relegation in play for 2026 WBC with 4 last place pool teams to requalify. They should expand from 20 to 24 teams after these two WBCs. Best WBC by far. The expansion from 16 to 20 teams made it better. Canada and Mexico had to requalify at some point in previous WBC. China 🇨🇳 and Canada 🇨🇦 I see getting last place & England 🇬🇧 or Israel 🇮🇱. Nicaragua 🇳🇮 looking good in exhibition games and during qualifiers. Seeing top teams requalify for next WBC in 2026 would make the main tournament and qualifiers better when they expand from 20 to 24 and more teams for future tournaments.
