Hello. I am new to Delta V, but very familiar with PLC programming. I have a project that has a Delta V talking to a ProtoNode protocol converter "Server side - Ethernet IP". How or what is the setup looks like on the Delta V side and what is the expected tags looks like? Thank you!

Did you mean with "server side - Ethernet IP" is communication between DeltaV and others PLC/Controller Device using modbus TCP/IP?

@@m.ikhsanrestiadi5095 thanks for your response. The issue is resolved. The system I was working on has a Siemens PLC and has to serve data to delta v over Ethernet IP. I am using Field Server ProtoNode protocol converter. Which is Modbus TCP to Ethernet IP for delta V. I was able to verify all data accept on the delta v side due to hardware limitations. I was able to verify all data by creating a test code using Allen Bradley controller. It was set to poll data from the ProtoNode using Ethernet IP protocol. So, I was able to proved to the customer that data are ready and working. So the issue is not from our system. They later found out that delta v was not able to read tags based data with the current hardware config. So they end up using the AB legacy data format instead. This was a good experience for me. We don’t have enough engineers and not able to support with full system integration projects. So I am a greenhorn when it comes to this. Thanks

How do you assign that input parameter to an actual device?

Actually input parameter can setup as external parameter to connected with actual device. Just right click on input/output parameter and choose configuration necessary
