I think it was a bit of bark scott knocked off. It certainly wasn't a piece of equipment otherwise 5+ judges and hundreds of spectators would have noticed. Good spotting though.

Hello friend, I climb trees in Brazil and would like to learn Branch Walking, you know of any instructional video and what is the necessary equipment to be able to walk on thin branches? Congratulations for the beautiful video

Thanks Rodrigo. There are some good Arbormaster videos, not sure if they are on the web. Otherwise professional instruction is my best recommendation. Maybe we could talk Scotty into coming to Brazil.

He used SRT to ascend (not in video). Climbed on VT with hitchclimber in tree.

I'll be darn... It makes me wonder how I used to do all that and faster without using all that paraphernalia climbing trees when I was a kid?
