I've been looking around and I can't find replacement filters anywhere except for wayfair, where each filter is about $100. Unless these filters are cheaper somewhere else, this device, while excellent, can be very expensive to own.

Thats exactly what I came here to find out! Thanks for sharing...

@@surfingalien30 It looks like since this water purifier was released, the two filters are now easily available on Amazon for about $45 and $35 each. To me, that's a much more reasonable price.

That's an amazing way of cleaning your tester after sticking it into dirty water. Just blow on it and it's perfectly clean.

The company has replacement filters, on sale today. Amazon has them, too.

Amazing review. How many gallons have you gotten thru it this far? Does it do sea water? If they are able to make one half the size I could take it on my long term backpack expeditions. I'm looking for a compact manual one for sea water for backpacking exploration. If someone can make one of these half to a third of the size they'll be a multimillionaire for the backpacking community. This is a game changer for ocean surfers and fisherman if it does sea water. I did find one manual pump reverse osmosis but it's the same size takes about an hour to filter 1 gallon.

Very cool! I'm curious how rain water measures and how well the purifier filters it. Obviously, it would be different iin Shanghai vs Norway, for example. And how long does the carbon filter last- again I would assume it matters how hard it's working but a guestimate?

The manufacturer states that the RO filter is good for about 3 months, but that is best guess because we would all use it different amounts and different types of water it is having to filter. I’d guess with “average” water and filtering about 1-2 gallons a day you could get about 3 months off of it.

Just got mine. Plugged in charger, flashing red. How do I know when charged?
@GearGadgetReviews11 ай бұрын
It should turn to a solid color when complete. Can’t remember off the top of my head, but I think it’s either a green or white led when it’s done charging.

curious if you tested the other water to be used for washing instead of drinking

I did. It was around 300 PPM

@@GearGadgetReviews is that normal that the number was that much higher than the 171 you started with straight from tap? sorry, don't know much about RO
@GearGadgetReviews2 жыл бұрын
@@justang9545 yes. Because that “dishwater” is even more concentrated with impurities than the regular tap water.

Why are you trying to strip down the ppm. Then all the waters does is stripes what minerals are left in your body

If they sending you their products for free you're already affiliated. :D I'm not saying that you necessarily shilling their products, but that's how it generally works with most KZbinrs.
