Additional items I feel that should also be considered are Upper and Lower Receiver Vice Blocks for AR15 Platform. Cerrosafe for chamber checking on older rifles, rifle cleaning rods from 24''-48" Go and No-Go Gauges for common calibers, and reference charts for thread pitch charts in SAE and metric.

This looks more like the spare room of an old man's house. SDI really thinks some one can make a living with those tools? That is a hobbyist setup at best. I couldn't imagine how much work you would have to turn away. Not trying to bash anyone just starting out, but SDI is selling pipedreams with this nonsense.

At 1:18 he said "Cleaning firearms is the 'bread and butter' of gunsmith shop." This comes as no surprise from an SDI instructor. It's not his fault, he wasn't provided instruction. That said, cleaning firearms is not the bread and butter of gunsmithing. Building a firearm is the bread and butter of gunsmithing, followed closely by fixing, restoring, altering of firearms and their parts. I try to support everything in the 2A community, but I do not support a company like SDI that is clearly taking advantage of people especially veterans, which is a large percentage of the personal that take this course. The course cost just south of $22,000 to get mediocre tools, apprentice level instruction and the firearm you choose to build. People are starting to come out in droves about this course, complaining about the cost compared to the value of the course. Is it worth $22k? Anyone honest will say 'hell no!' That beside the point that NOBODY is going to take an SDI certification seriously, hence it's an online course with a bad rumor of poorly taught instruction. I strongly urge those considering taking the SDI course to look into a course that's 'in person' from highly qualified instructors. This young man clearly is new to building firearms and he's probably an online instructor teaching the same bs. Save your money, find an in-person course and purchase the tools that work for you! Not some crap tools the course provides you out of your 22k probably worth SDI $100 altogether.
