For gaming, you might want to check out Nvidia GeForce now. It let's you run much of your Steam library through the Cloud on pretty much any device, including Chromebook.

So I recently went to chrome and am experimenting. At work (using my personal Chromebook) I need to know how to open and edit a word newsletter template without it looking funky. It opens, but looks weird and everything is all over the place. Help?

As for company security, they can put Gibraltar Firewall at the front of their network . It's free also.

Yes it’s free but most business owners wouldn’t have the technical know how to deploy something like that

I have a restaurant, sales and loan business that I have been running off my phone. If I can get the apps on a chromebook then I'll invest in one. Right now I'm thinking of getting a chromebook instead of a Windows os.

My 15 year old Dell laptop runs circles around my Chromebook. It runs Linux Mint. It's never had a virus and if someone trys to install something or grab something it freezes. Push the reset button and 5 minutes later It's back to normal.

Hi there, interesting vlog. Is there any reason you haven’t mentioned Linux as an option. With Ubuntu being so easy to use and being able to run many Windows programs and sharing a common root (no pun intended) with OSX, i would think it worth a mention. Last time I used Linux it performed so much better on a Windows PC than Windows does so you didn’t need leading edge kit to run with great speed. Is Chrome OS really focussed for enterprises? I’d expect any companies with stability in mind would be a little uneasy with the regularity of updates on the OS. 2 years ago I worked for an international FS company still running Windows 7….really!

For steroidal, cloud forward muscle you simply can't beat the power of Chrome OS. It's designed from the ground up for the cloud, and it works like a dream. I switch all the time between my Windows 11 machine and my Chromebooks, but the reason for this is that I still have to use the Office Suite for business. Unfortunately, the world is not yet on the G Suit, although I wish it were. But as for speed, stability and ease of use NOTHING beats Chrome. The world is becoming more cloud based and Microsoft is moving more and more in this direction, but they are not there yet. Chrome OS is. Chrome OS is the future. It works without any cloud hiccups, unlike Microsoft's OneDrive.

I agree

@@itGenius_ If I had a business I'd use G Suit because it has fewer hiccups than OneDrive, which is a bit anemic. I think G Suit adaption will grow. At this point it's a generational thing. I'm a Gen Xer and we and Boomers tend to favor Office (well, I don't) out of habit. While Office has its uses it's not built for the cloud. Also, as a writer I like using G Docs more than Word because it's just so much easier and uncluttered, and all the add-ons you can get are very cool. Word is simply not the only show in town, and neither is its parent Office suit.

Getting sick of Wondows problems and all the junk they put into the system these days (including marketing), so I will get a chromebook for my family to use in the livingroom. In Norway the school system is also 100 % using Chrome OS now so really the only reason to use a Windows or Mac for private use is either film/photo editing or gaming, but gaming is better on gaming devices and most people really don't have time for film editing anyways.. I think Microsoft are shooting themselves in the leg with the way they are treating there private customers these days.
