I have a 1918 12 gauge Flues my father in law gave me, the stock was repaired multiple times and was cracked when I got it but all the metal and action were excellent, so I repaired the stock and it turned out pretty nice. I was going to replace the stock set but the prices are crazy so I'll stick with my repaired stock.

thats awesome. i love that u made this video there are not many out about the flues. My grandfather had one in 16 gauge grade 1 1/2 . they are beautiful firearms even these grade 1s. and the higher grade u go the nicer they are. i always wondered how strong these were compared to the others ithaca and other double barrel designs as they have a small the ears are on the breach of the chamber. sorry i am not sure the term for these. But the ears on the action that close the barrels. awesome would love to see u shot and if u learn anymore love to hear about it! also did you measure the chambers on yours. i have heard some of these may not be 2 3/4 and may be something like 2 1/2 or 2 5/8!

Yes they would not be as strong as later designs but ample for the cartridges they were designed for. It is recommended not to use more than light 7/8oz loads and they should be fine. I know some had shorter chambers but I carefully measured mine and it is 2 3/4 inch. There is some shooting footage at the end of the video.

I found a Flues some fellow said it was a 1920 Dumascus and was Told to use light Loads 1oz Like to know if its a 1920 and how to find the year made?

You can find your year of manufacture here. ithacagun.com/serial-numbers/ If it is in fact 1920 it is unlikely to be damascas barrels. Mine is 1919 and has fluid steel barrels. All Flues are nitro proofed so in good condition should be safe with light loads. You didn't say what gauge but light trap loads should be fine. If you are in the USA this company specialises in light loads for vintage guns. www.rstshells.com/
