Janab Hashmi, Autobiography of an unknown indian was written by Nirod C Chowdhury. I have read the book. Pramatha Nath Chowdhury was a different man and was more famous by his pseudonym Birbal. He also was nephew of Rahindranath Tagore. He also was famous for the magazine he published called Sabuj Patra which was one of the cornerstone of the Kallol Era, the literary reneisance of bengali literary world.

He did not allow the congress to become an Organization of exploited people. He removed non-communal suvas from the national congress and Bengal congress.
