I live in Miami, Florida and as of this current date... February 2021....DC8 fans will be happy to know that there are two fully operational series 73 DC8s (cargo) that are based here and fly daily. DC8 forever!!!!
Wonderful video 🥰🤩 Aviation was much more interesting in these times, when planes weren't computerized. Very nice picture quality for 1987 ! And beautiful music.
What a gem! Thank you very much! I only got to fly the DC-8 once, from PMI to GEN, now OSL. This was in 1981. I also love the documentaries of the YS-11. awesome airplane. Greetings from Norway!
This video is an absolute treasure! Back-in-the-day, the two main trunk airlines of Canada (Air Canada and CP Air) flew over 55 examples of the DC-8. They were good, well-built, strong aircraft--better and more durable than the Boeing 707!

I flew to South America on CPAir in 1970 out of Mexico City, after a connection from LAX on a Western Boeing 720. A -53 one way, a -32 on the return leg. The DV-9 had 6 across seating with large windows. CP-Air had excellent service and served a mean table. I never has such an adventurous hourney in my life since. I truly treasure that experience. What an excitingvtime. The 747s had just entered service.
My first flight was onboard a United Airlines DC-8-61 in "Friend-Ship" livery in the early '70s. Loved them ever since. Thanks for the video my friend. 👍 👍
Thank you so much for sharing this fantastic video! As a French plane lover, I noticed the DC-10 from the company UTA that we miss.... And what to say about this 747 alley! Everywhere you lay your eyes on, you can see a Boeing 747. What a golden age! Thanks again for sharing this unique video.
