@@PLYTATN I doubt it - insomniac has to prioritise a great story and not halfass gameplay or the narrative, coop would cause Insomniac to have more work to do and then we're most likely stuck with a game that bearly works like AC Unity.

@@BeithFerk I get what you mean and the concept is cool, but you need to think how doable is that. Games like Batman Arkham or Spider-Man have great gameplay suited to their respective heroes because they are focused solely on one hero. They take years just to implement a great web-swinging mechanic and combat tailored only for Spider-Man. How much time and money do you think it would take to make a game with the same level of depth that Spider-Man has but with dozens, perhaps hundreds of heroes? They would make entirely new sets of animations to each of these heroes, with tons of suits and customization? How to balance that? How to make Hulk feel strong sided with Black Widow? The game would be entirely beat 'em up or it would feature stealth, choices, and unique tactics to each of these heroes with countless different powers? There's no way in this time to make this game, the closest would be a DC Universe Online copy, that features ancient gameplay mechanics and robotic animations. When you don't focus your care to a single character, or a small set of characters, your game tends to be worse gameplay-wise and less balanced, even more when we are talking about MMORPG with open-world and customization. It's possible to do so? Yes. The result would be great, at the same level of Spider-Man or Batman Arkham games? Surely not.

Imagine that imsonniac make a Spiderman open world online game about the Spider-verse. Here is my idea: You are playing alone in New York with your Custom Spiderman, and then Madam Web comes to give you the mission to go to another Earth, with other Spider-mens to stop Crime together or fixing the multiverse that is colapsing. Every single player will have his own Spider-man with they unique suit and Abilities (Like Miles Venom Blast, Iron Spider Arms or Symbiote)
