AJ definitely isn't wrong about TNA, in the late 00s they were starting to gain a lot of viewers because they were putting on some of the best matches in the US on a regular basis, and had a roster featuring not only a ton of rising talent who are stars in the industry today but some genuine top wrestling talent who had left WWE. It's such a tragedy that when they earned a move from 1 to 2 hour TV slots they threw it all away to get the WCW band back together. All they had to do was keep doing what they were doing and the whole US wrestling landscape of the last 15 years, a lot of which was extremely bleak, is completely different, and AJ Styles is on the forefront of the whole thing. Feels bad, man.

WWE offered AJ Styles $490,000 per year when his TNA contract expired in November 2013, he declined the offer and went to NJPW making the Yin equivalent of $750,000... Once his contract expired after Wrestle Kingdom 2016, WWE contacted him again and immediately offered him $1.25 Million per year. He accepted it and right now he is making $2.5 Million per year... I'd say he made the right decision declining his 2013 offer... They even tried ripping AJ out from underneath TNA in 2009, but the offer was only $150,000 per year which was only slightly more than TNA was paying him at the time ($135,000), so he decided it wasn't worth the move for such a small increase
