The tripping call on Hendershot is what changed the game for supposedly tripping his own teammate (so absurd… You really can’t make it up!) In actuality, a lions player was trying to trip Pollard and the way he stuck his leg out, it was real damn obvious! The Lions should’ve never even had a chance to get that conversion and they should’ve kicked the damn field goal after they couldn’t get it done twice. Trying to be cute and tricky so they could say, “Look at how we beat the Cowboys…” And it failed. File under: not our problem. And it WAS an illegal formation. I don’t know why everyone’s missing that. Don’t rely on the refs to help you get your formation right ever. If they’re going to make a play, like that, they should’ve known it was going to work and not done it at such a clutch moment. And they also failed to kick field goals earlier in the game and tried to go for it on fourth. Again, not our problem. Not really. Why risk injury in ot? Also teams on the road will almost always choose to end the game on a two point conversion. The refs were bad and I think got demoted out of the playoff rotation by the NFL after that. Also, they made a tripping call beforehand against the cowboys that should have been against the lions. Bad calls that go both ways.
