When I had mine, I went for the Black housing type and then went over the center bit with the tint spray...it looked fairly decent. I did the same with the EF Hatch I had. I cannot wait for this to be finished....ENVIOUS.

Also, if you stick them in the oven for a lil while you can pop off the clear covers and then remove the inside weirdness or paint the inside chrome parts... then windshield glue the clear covers back on. Looks way better

Taillights came out great. In the future though it may easier to just get red tint vinyl and wrap them. My old neighbor did that on his STi that came with all silver taillights from the factory.

8:20 know what Texas TIG is, and that 2 rods of 5/32 6010 running 130amp can spot weld that thin 20 gauge sheet rather easily.

Look into “sem colorcoat landau black” squirt those black trim pieces and lower bumper portion. It’ll look great for years. I shoot it through a 1.4 at work on all that kinda shit. If you thoroughly clean your interior pieces it works great in that as well

From my experience with front and rear mounted engines and transmission it really needs some support for the middle, at the transmission and engine, just saying later on it will cause some bad issues. I really enjoy your videos, thanks.

Looking so cool this car. If you paint in a original boring collour,you could buy black spoke rims,or some black "nascar" wheels to it,keeping the " original" feel to it. But a custom 80's style paint in white,pink snd turquise would look awesome. And go with som Chrome super supreemes on it,adding a lowride wibe to it

The shim actually goes between the starter and that billet plate that will pull the gear back

@@bart9859 i don’t have my tv cable hooked up and i had the car in such a weird angle coming off the jackstands and was tilted to the passenger side it was leaking out of the hole. Learned to not to that again 🤣

Personally I think they look good for now but I think ya might have wanted to heat them up on low power in an oven. Remove the lense cover and paint the inside! That said it looks good! Clear coat them!!! 2k clear
