As a business owner I know for a fact that whatever price you choose for your product, there's always someone who's going to complain it's too expensive. People say they're upset to have waited 8 years for this : yes, this is how long it take for a single Dev working independently and for FREE to make a game this evolved. If you cant support that with 50 bucks then you don't understand the value of hard work, you don't deserve this game. You can compare it to riders republic all you want, it's comparing apples and oranges. Mash Game must be so disappointed with the reception of their 8 years of hard work and consistent pressure to release the game. If we cant support their work then were never getting a proper bmx game. This is an amazing game, sure it can be better (what can't) but bmx is a community and we can't take it much further if we support this work rather than complain like crybabies.

Terrible analogy, this is not a restaurant. His point is that making a game is very, very difficult. It's a craft which usually requires a huge team with a lot of expensive tech. So support the Dev instead of giving them shit.

I don't really know what you mean by expensive tech required for developing a game (i work on Unreal Engine 5 Projects, using my half a decade old, mid-class Computer and it works fine), but if something has issues, it should be pointed out and not being dismissed as "Oh, he did it all by himself. Unless you make a game yourself, don't critcize him." or similiar remarks.
