$9,500? I know a little bit about these modifications, and for that price that's a damn good deal! If I wasn't out west I would seriously consider buying it. You essentially have what i'm slowly trying to build. It will be sad to see it go, your channel has been a huge motivation for my 2.5

Major thanks man for sure. Actually I have to update it as I threw a price out there and a few guys in the 2.5T chat urged me to raise it to 15k lol. I'm not going to list it that high, but it's currently at $12k.

Man, I hate to see you let this car go. Watching your progress has inspired me to upgrade my '09 mk5 Rabbit after keeping it stock for a long time. It's stage 2 with IE tune and hardware at this point. Not sure that I will add a turbo to this motor. If I do, I'll definitely refer back to your videos. Best of luck to you on buying your house. It's a good trade off.

It's not. I'm swapping in a low mileage engine here in 2 weeks with plans to get it on the dyno. Then I plan to make an I'm depth auto trader ad and ebay ad.

lol cant say i blame you. i subbed when i first bought my rabbit January of last year, and you made me realize that even though rabbits are cool, they're a lot of time and money if you want to mod them. so i steered away from that. needless to say, that piece of shit is now in a junkyard. not that the rabbit itself is a piece of shit, but mine for sure was. you planning on getting a golf or something?

Most 2.5s are so reliable people never have any major issues. But when you highly modify them and like to race, things will break. That's how it is lol. As for my next car I don't know. I daily a 2013 Camry and and planning to buy a house as my next big thing. After I have the garage, I want my next car to be RWD and alot faster.

The 2.5L motors are so common I can grab a low miles (~60k) longblock with the automatic transmission attached for $550~$800. Ever since I came across your channel I've wanted to start my first "built" engine 100% optimized NA and go with the 6-Speed and try to optimize the gear ratios, etc so much love for the engine and the VW platform in general I daily a Passat TDI and as much as I love the infinite torque (seriously, never wants for power even at 130mph) ...I miss my bone stock MK5 2.5L that I absolutely thrashed for 150k miles (but kept up on maintenance with)!
