You titled the July 16, 2020, vlog -- "Today I have my Third Brain Surgery." This vlog of February 24, 2012, is where it all started. Because of Covid-19, your wife, Allie, could not be with you at the hospital. Life has changed for you. You now have a one-year-old daughter named Remi. You are married to Allie (not the Alli in this vlog). She is, indeed, your soul mate. Tomorrow, we will be able to see you in recovery from this third brain surgery. I hope they were able to get all of the tumor out. Prayers for you and your family, Charles. Terri Johnson

Catching up with your old blogs. So glad that you are still here. I lost my husband to cancer in 06. Skin cancer that went to his brain, lungs, intestines . Then while raising my kids alone I was diagnosed with Lymphoma and lupus...WE are here Charles. Wishing you good health and happiness from here on out. And grasp every piece of happiness that you can find. And ignore the negativity. Life is just too short and we don't know what tomorrow will bring.

I have two sons who each have a brain tumor. My stepson was diagnosed with his when he was 17 and was told he had less than 5 years to live. He is now 40 years old and has two young sons. He is still having problems with side effects of the tumor but continues to live life. My other son was diagnosed with his tumor about 6 years ago and they thought they got it all. Unfortunately his came back and they say there is nothing more they can do. He has been in remission for several years. He has 3 young kids and he also lives a good life. If I could cure cancer I would in a heart beat. Stay strong and keep living a good life with your precious family. Much love from me to you.

although i've not got a tumor, two months ago i had my 5th brain surgery in as many years. i can't imagine going through chemo AND all the surgeries - scientifically it takes MONTHS for the anesthesia, etc to get 100% out of your body. add in the fact that the surgery is on the BRAIN and it makes it even harder to recover! my health insurance recently switched partner hospitals, so my last 2 hospitalizations were at the new one, and the food was AMAZING - i actually looked forward to my most recent stay because it was LITERALLY like a restaurant! it's room service, you can call for anything on the menu (everything from healthy food to burgers, pasta, lasagna, the best pancakes EVER, anything to drink you can imagine (non-alcoholic, obviously) and it made my stay SOOOOO much more enjoyable! i don't know why hospitals serve such horrible food most of the time... how can you recover and keep up your strength when the food it too nasty to swallow or keep down? people in hospitals are having a hard enough time without that nonsense.

Charles if you read this, just know your videos are indeed helping. I'm 24 and two weeks ago I felt the left side of my body including half my head sort of go to sleep. Doctors found a tumor in the CT scan... slightly bigger than yours even. They say it's benign but as you know I'll have to wait for the biopsy after surgery to find out for sure. Knowing you got through this and the positive attitude you had about the whole thing is encouraging and makes me a little less afraid.

Rewatching these videos is very nostalgic for me. You went into the hospital less than two months after I had gotten out of the hospital. I got a staph infection in my leg, and at the time I didn't know how serious that was. The hospital drove me crazy, I was in there for two weeks, and every time I got a new nurse they would ask what had happened etc. Nobody was telling me anything, but kept saying I would be ok. Four different anti-biotics and over a year later, I'm still here. :)

Thank God that while I'll will have to take the seizure med the rest of my life, I haven't had one for 13 yrs. Never had one while on the med. I have a benign pineal cystic tumor. The pineal part of your brain is right smack dab in the middle of your brain, and even Tho mine is benign it's still dangerous for me because it's causing symptoms. It's rare that they do. But I always seem to get the rare stuff I guess. Anyways I've been following you long before I even knew that I had this damn brain slug. I had symptoms for six years but just found out about it this year in may. I'll Eventually need surgery, but it's scary as hell. So I guess I just want to say thanks so much for documenting this journey, it gives me strength.
