This was an interesting and well filmed series, thanks. As you said in a previous video, there are loads of motorhome travelogues like this often featuring aires, so great to see a caravan tour that allows the viewer to get a feel for the various campsites. I agree that four night stays are often best for multi-site touring with a caravan.

Looks like you’ve had an amazing time and it’s been a Cracking series of vlogs, really enjoyed your casual approach but still giving plenty of good information.

Hi just stumbled across your site and watched your series of you European tour really enjoyed it thank you for posting it. Just wondered was it difficult finding a vet for your return journey? How long before you return to UK does your pet have to be vaccinated? Did the Caravan and Motorhome Club help with your route /site planning suggestions??. Sorry for so many questions this is something we would love to do?? I see in this video you say that you may just book the beginning and end of your tour sites next time so would you say it is pretty easy to find touring sites on the hoof so to say? And finally would you recommend the caravan sat nav you took with you I only ask because my wife has a Garmin sat nav in her car and we don't find it half as good as the TomTom make that I use. Sorry to bombard you with questions by the way!!!!. We live up in Cheshire too so don't have the luxury of living that close to the Tunnel. We have driven down to Spain a few time via the tunnel but have never tried Europe with our caravan but having seen your trip it has given me the confidence to give it a go!!. Thanks Again for posting these lovely videos,

Hi, thanks for watching! We love going abroad in our caravan and find it so much easier driving on empty roads (well compared with M25!!). We only get so many days holiday per year, so have to make the most of them and we don’t think we would relax if we just went driving in France without pre booking sites, we look at map with an idea of where we would like to go, then work out what is within 200 miles of Calais and that’s our first stop, then 200 miles (ish) to next stop and so on and we do the same until we have a circular route! We decide how many nights we want to stay at each (normally 4 nights for good area) and then look for caravan sites on CAMC website and book them all together! As far as the animal health certificate & vets, we have to have Bonnie wormed between 24hrs and 5 days before returning so we normally see where we are going to be 48hrs before returning and google vets in Area and email them and book an appointment. (We do this 48hrs before so if anything goes wrong we still have time to sort out another vets). We find the Garmin OK it is the CAMC one so we can put in width height etc, it’s only once tried to take me down a one way street which you can see in the Luxemburg video! You should do it, it’s great! (For price of mind just get European breakdown cover we use red pennant) Graham and Claire
